Okay, let’s talk about Virginia Hilfiger. So, I started by checking out what the buzz was all about. I noticed a lot of chatter about Virginia Ritchie taking on a big role at Tommy Hilfiger.
I dug a little deeper and found out that she’s now the chief marketing officer. That’s a pretty big deal, right?
Then, I started to see that this was a fresh announcement – like, really recent. PVH’s Tommy Hilfiger just put it out there that Virginia Ritchie is their new global chief marketing officer.
- I saw some news snippets calling it a “nomination,” which, you know, sounds kind of formal. It popped up with a tag #1553750, among others, so it’s definitely making the rounds.
- I also found out that she’s supposed to start on September 1, 2023. That’s super soon! And she’ll be reporting to some guy named Martijn Hagman, who I guess is another big shot there.
Diving into Tommy Hilfiger’s World
I was curious, so I looked up Tommy Hilfiger on *. There’s a whole bunch of stuff there – news, arts, entertainment, you name it.
And then there’s Drapers, where they’ve got all sorts of news and features about Tommy Hilfiger. Seems like a good place to keep up with fashion industry stuff.
I got a bit sidetracked and ended up reading about Tommy Hilfiger himself. Turns out, he and his wife Dee Ocleppo have a big family – seven kids! They live between New York City and Greenwich, Connecticut. Fancy, huh?
He even wrote a book called “American Dreamer” in 2016, talking about his 30-plus years in the fashion world.
Back in 2010, a company called PVH Corp. bought Tommy Hilfiger. Daniel Grieder became the CEO in 2014, but Tommy’s still the main designer. It’s kind of cool that he’s still so involved.
So, that’s the gist of what I found on Virginia Hilfiger and her new gig. It’s always interesting to see these big moves in the fashion industry, right?
