Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to try out this Guerlain eyeshadow I heard so much about. I finally took the plunge and bought a palette. I was so excited to get it!

When the package came, I ripped it open and it was really amazing. It’s a simple black box, but it feels so fancy, you know? It’s heavy and well made, I guess. Inside, there’s this big mirror and five eyeshadow colors. I also saw that they gave me a gift, three samples, I guess it is a gift. Oh, it also includes gift wrapping! The store is really considerate.
I started by putting on some eye primer, ’cause that makes the color pop and last longer. And also helps with oily lids.
First, I used the lightest color all over my lid as a base. It’s a soft, shimmery beige, not too much going on.
Then, I used a medium brown shade in my crease to add some depth. I blended it out real good with a fluffy brush so there were no harsh lines, made it look all seamless and stuff.
Next, I used a darker brown on the outer corner of my eye to make it look more smoky, you know, that sultry look. I also smudged a bit of this color along my lower lash line.
After that, I used this sparkly gold color on the center of my eyelid to really make my eyes pop. I just patted it on with my finger.
Finally, I used a tiny bit of the lightest shade again under my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eye to highlight.
I finished it off with some black eyeliner and mascara, and boom, done! The colors blended together like a dream and were super pigmented. Plus, they stayed put all day without creasing or fading. I even fell asleep with my makeup on(oops) and it still looked decent in the morning.
My Final Thought
Honestly, I’m super impressed with this Guerlain eyeshadow. I think I will try Tom Ford eyeshadow next time. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality is definitely there. If you’re looking to treat yourself to a fancy eyeshadow palette, I’d say go for it! This was totally worth it for me, might even grab another one, who knows.
