Alright, let’s talk about the Essence Festival 2024. I really wanted to figure out who was going to perform, so I started digging around the internet.
First, I checked out some news articles. I found out that the festival was going to happen from July 4th to July 8th. This was pretty cool, because I figured it’d be a great way to spend the long weekend.
Then, I started looking into the lineup. I found out that some really big names are supposed to be there. I mean, we’re talking about Janet Jackson! She’s a legend, so I got pretty excited about that. I also saw that Usher was going to perform. I saw a picture of him from a previous Essence Festival, and he looked like he was killing it on stage.
Another artist that caught my eye was Victoria Monet. Apparently, she’s a three-time Grammy winner, which is no small feat. I listened to a few of her songs, and I was really impressed. She’s got a great voice and her music is really catchy. I think she’s going to be a big hit at the festival.
The article mentioned Charlie Wilson, who also performed at a previous Essence Festival, so I searched for some pictures of that, and he looked like he was having a blast.
Then there’s this group called SWV that I hadn’t heard of before. I looked them up and it turns out they’re a pretty popular R&B group. I listened to some of their music, and I can see why people like them. They’ve got some really smooth harmonies.
There was also something about Cash Money Millionaires celebrating 30 years of Cash Money Records. I read that Birdman and some “surprise guests” would be bringing that classic New Orleans hip-hop sound to the stage, so that’s something to look forward to.
I saw that D-Nice would present Club Quarantine Live with a whole bunch of other artists like Big Boi, Method Man, and Sheila E. That sounds like it’s going to be a massive party.
I found some specific info about the daily lineups, too. Like, on Saturday, besides Usher and Charlie Wilson, there’s going to be DJ D-Nice, Machel Montano, Big Boi, Method Man, and Ayra Starr. And on Sunday, Janet Jackson, Victoria Mon�t, SWV, Frankie Beverly, Maze, and Bilal will perform.
I tried to search for tickets, there was some text saying it’s selling fast on the world’s largest ticket marketplace, but I didn’t go that far.
So yeah, that’s what I found out about the Essence Festival 2024 performers. Looks like it’s going to be an amazing event with a lot of great music. I’m definitely thinking about going, how about you guys?
