Okay, so I saw this “porcelain doll” makeup trend going around, and I thought, why not give it a try? I mean, I’ve always been a bit of a makeup junkie, so I figured it would be a fun experiment. Plus, who doesn’t want to look like a fancy doll every once in a while?

First things first, I gathered all my makeup. I’m talking foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, the whole nine yards. I even dug out some old false lashes I had lying around from that one Halloween party a few years back. You know, the ones that make your eyes look like they belong on a cartoon character? Yeah, those.
Prep Time
I started by prepping my face. I washed it, moisturized, and applied a primer to make sure everything would stay put. I have to say that is the most important part in every makeup. Then, I put on a foundation that was a shade or two lighter than my natural skin tone. I wanted that pale, doll-like complexion, you know? I blended it all out with a sponge, making sure there were no harsh lines or anything.
Eyes and Cheeks
Next up, the eyes. I used a light pink eyeshadow all over my lids and a slightly darker shade in the crease to add some dimension. Then came the fun part—the false lashes. Let me tell you, putting those things on is a struggle. But after a few failed attempts and a minor freak-out, I finally got them on. It is hard to imagine how those girls wear false lashes every day! They instantly made my eyes look bigger and more, well, doll-like.
- Applied a generous amount of blush to the apples of my cheeks.
- Went for a rosy pink shade to give that innocent, flushed look.
- Blended it out to make sure it looked natural.
Finishing Touches
I finished the look with a bit of lip gloss and some highlighter on my cheekbones and the tip of my nose. And there you have it, my attempt at the porcelain doll makeup look. This makeup look is not so difficult for me.
Honestly, it was a lot of fun to play around with makeup and transform myself into a living doll. Would I wear this look out in public? Probably not. But it was definitely a fun experiment, and I’m glad I tried it. Plus, I got some pretty cool pictures out of it. Who knows, maybe I’ll try another makeup trend next week. Any suggestions?
