Okay, so, today I was messing around with this idea I had for a project, right? I’m calling it “Gen Z Snoopy.” Sounds kinda weird, I know, but hear me out. Basically, I wanted to see if I could take our favorite cartoon dog and, like, update him for the TikTok generation.

First, I gotta find all the pieces to start, so I spent some time today digging around for tools and stuff. I was trying to find plugins and extensions that could help me put this thing together. I stumbled upon this checklist for plugin developers. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it gave me some ideas for thinking critically about what I was choosing. That’s important, I guess.
Then, I started thinking about the technical side. You know, how to make sure this thing works smoothly across different browsers. I remembered something about vendor prefixing, and I found some notes about it. I guess it’s about making sure your code plays nice with different browsers, which is pretty key.
Snoopy Coding
After that, I got into the code. I spent hours staring at the screen, trying different things, hitting error after error. There was this one that kept popping up: “Couldn’t find a ‘component’.” Ugh, it drove me nuts. I must have tried a million different fixes, but nothing seemed to work. I was starting to feel like I was in over my head. It was a mess, honestly.
But, you know what? I kept at it. I mean, what else was I gonna do? Give up? No way. So, I took a break, watched some videos, and came back to it. And guess what? I finally figured it out. It was some stupid little mistake, but I fixed it. I felt like a genius, even though it was probably something super basic.
Trade Gains
Then I took a break and read some random stuff online. I saw this thing about trade between countries, and how it said both the U.S. and the rest of the world gain from it. It made me think about how interconnected everything is, even Snoopy. Sounds deep, but it kinda made sense at the time.

Pokemon Things
And then, because why not, I ended up looking at a list of all the Pokemon from Generation 9. Don’t ask me why. My brain just goes to weird places sometimes. It was a total detour, but hey, it was fun.
Anyway, after all that, I finally got some results. It’s not perfect, not even close. But it’s something. I managed to create a rough version of my Gen Z Snoopy. He’s got, like, a smartphone and maybe even a TikTok account. It’s silly, but it makes me laugh. This took me like all day, but it is pretty cool to see my idea start to take shape, you know?
So, yeah, that’s what I did today. It was a rollercoaster of frustration and little victories. But that’s just how it goes sometimes, right? You gotta keep pushing, even when you feel like you’re going nowhere. In the end, it felt pretty awesome. And who knows, maybe this little project will turn into something bigger. Or maybe it won’t. Either way, I’m learning a ton, and that’s what matters, I think.
This is just my little story of trying to bring Snoopy into the age of Gen Z. Hope you found it at least a little bit interesting!
