Okay, so today’s little experiment was all about “Kim Kardashian and Anna Wintour”. Sounds fancy, right? Well, let me tell you, it was a bit of a wild ride, but not in the way you might think.

First, I dove into the internet, just to see what these two are even about. You know, get the basic vibe. Turns out, Kim’s this huge reality TV star turned businesswoman, and Anna is basically the queen of fashion magazines. Totally different worlds, it seemed. But I figured, there’s gotta be some common thread, some overlap, right? Maybe how they present themselves, how they use images.
So, I started digging deeper. I looked at a bunch of photos of both of them, from red carpets to magazine covers to just regular day-to-day stuff. I also watched a few interviews, just to see how they talk and act. I even stumbled upon some articles about how images and short clips can create stories in our heads, like some guy named Eisenstein talked about. It’s like, how a picture of Kim looking serious can make you think she’s all business, while a picture of her laughing makes you think she’s fun and relatable. Same goes for Anna, you know, the way she’s always dressed so perfectly and has that signature haircut. It creates this image of power and authority.
My Observations
- Kim’s all about that curated image. Every photo, every video, it’s all so carefully put together. You can tell she thinks about how she’s coming across.
- Anna’s more about that classic, timeless look. It’s like she’s not chasing trends, she’s setting them. Her image is all about confidence and being in control.
Then, I started playing around with some of my own photos. I tried to see if I could make myself look different just by changing the angle, the lighting, the expression on my face. It’s actually kind of crazy how much you can change the story just by tweaking a few things. I even tried to mimic some of Kim and Anna’s poses, just for fun. I’m pretty sure I looked ridiculous, but hey, it was part of the process!
Honestly, the whole thing made me think about how we all present ourselves to the world, whether we’re famous or not. We’re all kind of like our own little brand, in a way. It’s not about being fake or anything, but just being aware of the image you’re putting out there. We use it in our work when dealing with project management and stuff. It also reminded me of those flashcards about knowledge management and how the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services works, the part about “social construct”.
In the end, I realized that Kim and Anna, even though they’re from different worlds, are both masters of image. They know how to use it to tell their story, to build their brand, to connect with their audience. And that’s something we can all learn from, whether we’re trying to build a business, get a job, or just navigate the world around us. It’s just like that guy J Balvin, the trailer for that thing about self-care, it is the same thing, I guess. Or the story about Lincoln and his bedroom, no problem is too large or small. All in all, I had a pretty productive day playing around with this idea. It just goes to show, you can find inspiration in the most unexpected places!
