Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get a new purse for a while now, and I finally did it! I got myself a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag. Let me tell you all about it.

First, I started looking around online, just browsing, you know? I saw that Louis Vuitton has tons of styles, colors, and sizes, so there’s something for everyone. I was immediately drawn to the ones with the classic LV monogram pattern – so iconic. But they also have some really trendy new designs. I was really digging the “Side Trunk.”
I did some more digging, and I started to get a feel for the prices. They are definitely pricey, not gonna lie. I saw some going for around $1,000, some for $2,000, and some even higher! But I learned that these bags are kind of an investment. I read somewhere that they hold their value really well, and sometimes they even become worth more over time. That made me feel a little better about spending the money.
Then I went to an actual store, which I prefer. I wanted to see them in person, feel the leather, and try them on. And I also wanted to get more information. The store had a huge selection, and I was impressed by the quality of these bags. So I tried on a few different styles. Some were bigger, some were smaller, some had longer straps, some had shorter ones. I tried to figure out which one was going to be most practical for my everyday life, which one was practical, iconic, elegant, and creative.
- I tried a smaller one with the LV monogram pattern. It was cute, but I wasn’t sure if it would fit everything I needed. ($1,125.00)
- Then I tried a bigger one, also with the monogram, but in a more rectangular shape. I liked this one a lot! ($1,945.00)
- Finally, I tried one of the newer designs, a little more modern and edgy. It was cool, but I felt like the classic monogram was more “me.” ($2,700.00)
The Decision
After trying on a bunch of them and thinking it over, I finally decided on one. I went with a medium-sized one with the classic LV monogram pattern. It’s big enough to fit my wallet, phone, keys, and a few other essentials, but not so big that it’s bulky. And the crossbody strap is super convenient for when I’m running errands or traveling. These bags are perfect to elevate your outfit. And guess what? Crossbody bags are totally in style! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
It’s definitely a splurge, but I feel like it’s a classic piece that I’ll have for years to come. Plus, it makes me feel fancy when I wear it, haha. It was a good purchase for me.
