Hey, guys, it’s your old buddy back again with another sharing of my latest tinkering.

So, you know that movie “The Martian”, right? With that Matt Damon dude, who was stuck on Mars? Well, I got really into that flick, especially the cool gear he had. And you know what caught my eye? His watch. That slick, all-black timepiece. I just had to find out what it was. After some serious online digging, I discovered it’s a Hamilton BeLOWZERO.
I started to research about it. This thing is a beast. I mean, it’s all black, tough-looking, looks like it could survive a Martian dust storm. Black dial, black case, black rubber strap. I thought, “Man, I gotta get my hands on one of these.”
After some hunting around, I finally got one from one seller. I wore it everywhere, showing it off. It’s definitely a conversation starter. People kept asking me about it. It is cool, rugged, and just felt right on my wrist.
Then, I decided, why not try to make my own version? I have learned a lot of DIY projects. And I found the necessary part. I started to disassemble the watch and got the parts ready. I carefully selected parts that matched the original, focusing on getting that same all-black look. It took some time, a few tries, a couple of failures, but I didn’t give up. I tried to use different material. And adjusted it again and again.
And guess what? I actually pulled it off! My own custom-made watch, inspired by the one from “The Martian.” It’s not perfect, it’s rough around the edges, but it’s mine. It looks pretty darn close to the real deal, and it’s a constant reminder that even if you’re not a professional, you can still create something awesome with a bit of effort.

So, that’s my story of my “Mark Watney watch” adventure. Hope you guys enjoyed it. If you have any project you are doing, just leave a comment!
