Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “taper bob haircut” thing all over my Pinterest feed lately, and I got curious. I decided to give it a shot myself, cause why not? My hair was getting a bit long anyway.

First, I spent some time scrolling through tons of pictures, you know, just browsing and saving the ones I liked. I noticed a lot of them were layered, which seemed cool. They called it a “Tapered and Layered Pixie Bob.” I found that there’s an easy way to decide if short hairstyles suit you. The longest part of my chin was not far from the tip of my earlobe. I thought that short hairstyles may be suitable for me.
Then came the hard part – actually cutting my hair! I grabbed my scissors. My hands were shaking. I started by sectioning off my hair, just like I saw in some pictures. I tried to make sure everything was even. Then I began chopping. Snip, snip, snip. It was a bit nerve-wracking, to be honest. I was so afraid of messing it up. I measured from my chin to my neck to confirm the length. It was a “Micro Bob” style.
I kept trimming and checking, trimming and checking. I wanted to get that tapered look, so I cut the back a bit shorter than the front, making sure it blended nicely. I added some layers, trying to make it look like those Pinterest pictures.
After what felt like forever, I finally put down the scissors. I styled it a bit with some product, trying to give it some volume and texture. And you know what? It actually turned out pretty good! I was surprised, to be honest. I thought I was going to totally mess it up. So, I tried it and shared it with you.
So yeah, that’s my taper bob haircut adventure. It was a fun little experiment. Maybe I’ll try something else next time. Let me know your opinions in the comments section!
