Today I want to share something about this thing called “Honey Gold”. First, I heard about Honey, this browser plug-in. So I did some digging around to see what this Honey thing was all about. It turns out, it’s this extension you add to your browser, and it automatically finds and applies coupon codes when you’re checking out online. I was like, “Sounds too good to be true”, but then I tried it, and bam! It actually worked.

Then I found out about this “Honey Gold” thing, which is like their rewards program. I started using Honey regularly whenever I shopped online. I installed it and started using it every time I shopped online. It felt a little weird at first, clicking this little button at checkout, but hey, I was saving money, so why not?
- Every time I made a purchase at one of the stores they work with, I’d get these points, these “Gold” things.
- It wasn’t a ton, but it added up. I’d buy something from Home Depot, get some Gold.
- Grab something from Microsoft, more Gold.
I kept shopping, kept using Honey, and before I knew it, I had a decent amount of these Gold points. It wasn’t like winning the lottery or anything, but it was something. Then, I found out that you can turn these points into gift cards. You need 1,000 Gold points to get a $10 gift card, and they have cards for places like Amazon, and Target. I mean, who doesn’t love a gift card?
So I kept at it. More shopping, more Gold, more gift cards. I even got a couple of gift cards for my wife. It’s not going to make you rich, but it is pretty cool to get a little something back for the shopping you’re doing anyway.
And the best part? Honey is free. I just added this little thing to my browser, and it started doing its thing. No fees, no catches, just savings. It became a no-brainer for me. Every time I’m about to buy something online, I just make sure Honey does its thing.
So, that’s my story with Honey Gold. It’s not some get-rich-quick scheme, but it’s a nice little bonus.
