Okay, so I’ve been trying to figure out this whole Ali Wong outfit thing. You know, the comedian? Her style is kinda wild, right? I spent a good chunk of yesterday diving into it.

First off, I started by just looking at a bunch of pictures of her, trying to get a feel for her vibe. Lots of bright colors and crazy patterns. Like, she’s not afraid to mix and match stuff that you wouldn’t think would go together. It’s pretty bold, I gotta say.
- I noticed she wears a lot of dresses, especially in her stand-up specials.
- Then I started checking out this website called “Spotern”. It’s pretty cool – they identify clothes that celebrities wear, and then they show you where to buy them, or at least similar stuff.
I also stumbled upon an article from “EW” – you know, Entertainment Weekly? Anyway, they interviewed this costume designer named Leesa Evans, who apparently worked with Ali Wong on that movie, “Always Be My Maybe.” That was a goldmine! Evans talked all about how she picked out Ali’s outfits for the movie, and it gave me a better idea of the thought process behind her style.
One thing that really stuck out to me was this one dress by Iris van Herpen. I mean, this thing is insane. It’s got these laser-cut diamond shapes sticking out all over the place. It looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Not something I’d wear, but definitely memorable.
Then I watched some Instagram stuff
There was this video from someone named Swennen, who I guess is a stylist. They were showing how they put together this outfit with a pleated shirt, a ruched skirt, and a custom-made blazer with these huge… things… on the shoulders. I don’t even know what to call them. It was a lot, to say the least.
So yeah, after all that, I still don’t think I could pull off Ali Wong’s style. But I definitely have a new appreciation for it. It’s bold, it’s fun, and it’s definitely unique. I guess that’s what makes her stand out, right?
