Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with personalizing my stuff lately, you know, making it uniquely me. And my latest project? Bag charms! I mean, bags are great and all, but they can be a bit, well, blah sometimes. So I thought, why not jazz them up a bit?

I started by digging through my old jewelry boxes. Found some old necklaces and bracelets I never wear anymore. I snapped off a few cute pendants with some pliers – a little heart, a star, even a tiny Eiffel Tower from that trip I took years ago. Don’t worry, they were all pretty cheap, nothing fancy.
Then I hit up the craft store – a dangerous place for someone like me, haha. I grabbed some colorful ribbons, beads, and even some fluffy pom-poms because, why not? I also found these cool little clips that are perfect for attaching things to bags.
The fun part was putting it all together. I started by tying the ribbons to the clips. Then, I added the pendants and beads, playing around with different combinations until I liked what I saw. It was like making my own mini-masterpieces! I even used some fabric scraps to make little bows – super cute. I tried out different ways, to see which style was better for me.
- Bohemian Rhapsody: Lots of earthy tones, wooden beads, and maybe a feather or two.
- Glam Rock: Shiny things, metallic colors, maybe even some glitter.
- Minimalist Chic: Simple, clean lines, maybe just one or two elegant charms.
- Totally Kawaii: Think pastel colors, cute characters, and all things adorable.
Here are some ideas I came up with
I ended up making a bunch of different charms, one for each of my moods, haha. Now, whether I’m carrying my tote bag, my backpack, or even my fancy clutch, I can add a little something extra to make it pop. It’s like giving my bags a whole new personality!
Honestly, it was such a fun and easy project. And the best part? It’s totally unique to me. So, if you’re looking for a way to spice up your bags, I highly recommend giving bag charms a try. You might just surprise yourself with what you create!
