So, I’ve been feeling a little adventurous with my hair lately, and you know who’s always been a hair icon for me? Beyoncé. That woman can rock any style, but I’ve been particularly obsessed with her blonde looks. So, I thought, why not try to capture a little bit of that Beyoncé magic myself? Here’s how it went down.

First, I gotta say, I’m no hair expert. I’m just a regular person who likes to experiment. So, I did what any sensible person would do – I watched her video where she showed her own wash day routine. I mean, if you’re gonna do it, might as well learn from the queen herself, right?
Then, I started by gathering my supplies. I needed some good hair products. I heard she uses the Rita Hazan True Color Ultimate Shine Gloss in Sun-Kissed, I couldn’t find it easily but I saw this Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat and Tone Hair Gloss that seems similar cause it’s got like five colors, so I grabbed that. Plus, a trusty medium-hold hairspray, cause you gotta keep those strands in place.
Next up, the actual coloring. Now, I’m naturally not blonde, so this was a bit of a process. But, I decided to use a simple, effective way. I started with a wash day routine, just like she does in her video. It was surprisingly simple, just a good wash and some quality hair products.
After washing, I used the Pureology gloss to add some golden tones. It wasn’t quite Beyoncé blonde yet, but it was a good start. I had to do this a couple of times, because hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is a perfect blonde.
Styling Time
- Washing: Just like I saw in her video, nothing fancy, but super important to keep things clean and healthy.
- Glossing: This was key to get that golden blonde. I used the Pureology gloss, and it really made a difference.
- Styling: After the color was set, I styled my hair, trying to mimic some of her iconic curly looks. I’m talking afros, tight coils, loose waves – the whole nine yards. It was fun experimenting!
Once the color was where I wanted it, it was time to style. I’m no stranger to curls, but trying to emulate Beyoncé’s various curly styles was a whole different ball game. I tried everything from tight coils to loose waves. I used the medium-hold hairspray to keep everything in place. Let me tell you, it’s not as easy as she makes it look, but it was definitely fun trying.
The end result? Well, I wouldn’t say I’m a Beyoncé look-alike now, but I definitely felt a bit more glamorous. My hair had this beautiful golden sheen, and the curls were popping. It was a fun experiment, and I learned a lot about hair care and styling along the way. Plus, who doesn’t love a good hair transformation, right?
So, that’s my Beyoncé blonde adventure. It was a journey of washing, glossing, styling, and a whole lot of hairspraying. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Maybe next time I’ll try a different one of her iconic looks. Stay tuned!
