Okay, so, I’ve been on this huge Celine kick lately, specifically with their 16 bags. I just love that classic, structured look, you know? It’s so chic and timeless. Anyway, I finally decided to take the plunge, but then came the big question: mini or small?
First, I spent hours, and I mean hours, scrolling through photos and videos online. I watched every review I could find, trying to gauge the size difference. I really love the Celine 16 bag! It’s so amazing. I also read some bloggers’ articles about their experience with this bag. They shared their own feelings and which size they had. I got useful information about this.
Then, I actually went to a Celine store. I needed to see these bags in person. I brought along my everyday essentials: my big ol’ wallet, my phone, a pack of tissues, my car keys, and a little pouch with a mini hairbrush and some floss. You know, the usual stuff a girl carries around. It’s also one of the bloggers’ suggestions.
The sales associate was super helpful. I tried on both sizes, stuffing them with my things. The mini, as expected, was pretty compact. It’s super cute, don’t get me wrong, but it was a tight squeeze. My wallet barely fit, and it was a bit of a struggle to get everything else in there. But, the design is based on the very Parisian way of wearing a bag.
The small, on the other hand, was surprisingly roomy. Everything fit comfortably, with a little room to spare. It felt a lot more practical for everyday use. It can be an everyday bag, but isn’t so large that it feels clunky or bulky. I like this feeling! It emphasizes incredible craftsmanship, just like what Sverine Merle said.
I walked around the store with both bags, trying to get a feel for them. I even took some mirror selfies, much to the amusement of the other shoppers, I’m sure. I also asked the staff about the origin of the name of this bag. It comes from the Maison de Couture’s Paris address, the Htel Colbert, at 16, Rue Vivienne in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. That’s interesting.
After much deliberation, I finally decided to buy the small. It just made more sense for my lifestyle. I need to be able to carry my stuff without feeling like I’m playing a game of Tetris every time I open my bag. Besides, Celine handbags hold a special place and they’re also likely to be sought after by interested parties willing to pay good prices for them. It’s worth it!
- Mini: Super cute, but very compact. A tight fit for essentials.
- Small: Roomy and practical. Fits everything comfortably.
So, there you have it! My journey to choosing between the Celine 16 mini and small. If you are also interested in this bag, I hope this sharing is helpful to you! In short, the small one is the best addition!
