Alright, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about men’s makeup lately, and it got me curious. I mean, why should girls have all the fun, right? I decided to take the plunge and try out the Chanel foundation for men. Yeah, you heard that right, Chanel. Fancy, huh?
First off, I had to find the stuff. I went to the mall and found it in the makeup store. Then I tried to find some staff to help me out, but the staff saw me, a man trying to buy the foundation, and they acted a bit weird. But anyway, I finally got the foundation after talking to a staff member who seemed very busy.
I got home and immediately opened the box. The packaging is sleek and minimal, very Chanel. It’s a simple black tube, nothing too flashy. Feels kinda premium, not gonna lie.
Now, I’m no makeup expert, so figuring out how to apply it was a bit of a challenge. I watched a couple of YouTube tutorials, which helped a bit. It said to use a brush, but I didn’t have one, so fingers it was! I squeezed a little bit onto the back of my hand – it’s pretty runny, not like the thick creams I’m used to with moisturizers. I dabbed it onto my face, focusing on my forehead, nose, and cheeks, where I tend to get a bit red.
Blending was… interesting. It took some time to get it even, and I definitely used too much at first. Less is more, I learned that the hard way. But once I got the hang of it, I was surprised by how natural it looked. It didn’t feel heavy or cakey, more like a light moisturizer. My skin tone looked more even, and those red spots? Barely noticeable.
Does it stay on?
That was the big question. I wore it throughout the day, and it held up pretty well. I did notice a bit of shine by the evening, but nothing too crazy. A quick pat with a tissue sorted that out.

Would I wear it again?
Honestly, yeah, I think I would. It’s not something I’d use every day, but for special occasions or when I want to look a bit more polished? Definitely. It’s a confidence booster, for sure. It just makes you feel a bit more put together, you know?
It’s not about hiding or changing who you are, it’s just about enhancing what’s already there. And hey, if it makes you feel good, why not? I think the whole stigma around men and makeup is outdated. We all want to look and feel our best, and if a little foundation helps with that, then go for it.
So, that’s my take on the Chanel foundation for men. It was a fun experiment, and I’m glad I tried it. Maybe I’ll even explore other products in the future. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a full-blown makeup guru. Just kidding… or am I?
