Well, you won’t believe what happened. I got it into my head that I needed to track down some of that old-school Chaps cologne. You know, the one from Ralph Lauren? Turns out, it’s been discontinued since 2006. Can you believe it?
So, I started my little quest.
- First, I hit up all the usual online stores. Nothing.
- Then, I figured I’d try some of those discount perfume websites. Still nothing.
- Finally, I ended up on that auction site, you know the one.
And guess what? I found some! But hold onto your hats, because the prices were insane. We’re talking over a hundred bucks for a bottle! One of them was even listed for almost three hundred! It is crazy, right? I mean, who spends that much on an old cologne?

I also found a travel-size one, 0.5 oz, unboxed, but no price listed. They described it as a “Woody Chypre fragrance for men” with notes of citrus and patchouli. Sounds about right for the old Chaps.
So, did I buy any? Nope. No way was I spending that kind of cash. But it was a fun little trip down memory lane, I guess. But still crazy how much people are asking for this stuff, though, right?
