Okay, so, let’s talk about this nail thing I tried out – the Clinique Nail Enamel. I’ve been seeing it around, and it’s supposed to be good for sensitive skin, or something like that. And I thought, why not give it a shot? My eyes get itchy sometimes, maybe it’s the nail polish I normally use?

I went ahead and bought a bottle. I chose this color called “Grape Ice.” Sounded cool, but turns out it was a limited edition thing, only sold online. And guess what? It was already sold out! I mean, come on, really?
Digging Deeper
So, I started digging around, trying to find out what’s so special about this nail polish. Apparently, it’s more of a “lacquer” than a regular polish. They say it’s tougher, more chip-resistant. I also read somewhere that all these nail polishes are made of some kind of polymers, solvents, and pigments. Polymers make a film, pigments give the color, and solvents, well, I guess they help it all mix together.
- Applying the Polish: I got my hands on a different color from Clinique since Grape Ice was nowhere to be found. The application was smooth, I gotta say. It went on pretty easily, not too thick, not too thin. The brush was decent, too.
- Drying Time: It dried pretty fast, which is always a plus. I hate waiting around for my nails to dry. I did two coats, as usual, and it looked pretty good. Nice and shiny.
- Durability Test: Here’s where things get interesting. I did all my usual stuff – washing dishes, typing, you know, the daily grind. And I have to admit, this stuff held up pretty well. Usually, my nail polish starts chipping after a day or two. But this Clinique enamel lasted a good few days before I noticed any major chips.
The Verdict
So, is this Clinique Nail Enamel worth the hype? I’d say it’s a pretty solid nail polish. It applies well, dries fast, and lasts longer than my usual stuff. As for the sensitive skin thing, I didn’t really notice a difference, but maybe that’s just me. It’s a bit pricier than drugstore brands, but if you’re looking for a durable, shiny polish, it might be worth checking out.
Would I buy it again? Probably. Especially if I could get my hands on that Grape Ice color. But for now, I’m pretty happy with the one I got. It’s a nice treat for my nails, and who doesn’t love a little self-care, right?
