Okay, so today I want to share how I crafted a high-end item in The Division. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, honestly.

Recruiting Inaya al-Khaliq
First things first, I had to unlock and complete the first mission of the Theater Settlement to recruit this lady called Inaya al-Khaliq. She’s your go-to person for crafting, it seems.
Gathering Materials
Then came the fun part – gathering materials. I needed a bunch of stuff like Electronics, Fabric, and Weapon Parts. Plus, you need Credits, which is basically the game’s money. I spent a good chunk of time just running around, exploring every nook and cranny, and taking down any enemies that crossed my path. They drop resources sometimes, which is super handy. I found myself picking up a lot of blue-quality materials during my adventures. These are called Specialized materials, and they’re pretty common.
Converting Materials
Here’s a neat trick I figured out: you can convert these blue materials into high-end ones. You just need five of any type of blue crafting material. Then you go to the crafting station, and there’s an option to convert them into one high-end material. It could be Weapon Parts, Tools, Electronics, or Fabric. So, I gathered a total of 15 blue materials.
Crafting the Item
I made my way to the Crafting Bench, scrolled all the way down the list, and selected the option to craft those high-end materials. I crafted my 15 blue materials into 3 yellow ones.
Choosing a Blueprint
Now, about those blueprints. They’re all listed at the crafting station, even the ones you don’t have yet. I selected the M44 because you can buy it in the Terminal, and it told me exactly where to get the blueprints I was missing. Most of them come from control points, but I also got some from raids and a few other places like side missions and field research.

The RNG Factor
One thing to keep in mind is that even when you craft something, there’s still some randomness involved. The base damage and the talents you get are randomized within a certain range. So, even if you follow the same steps as someone else, you might end up with a slightly different item.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, the whole process wasn’t too bad. It took some time to gather the materials and figure out the blueprint situation, but once I had everything, it was pretty straightforward. And hey, I ended up with a pretty sweet high-end M44, so I’d say it was worth it.
- Collect materials: blue crafting materials of any type.
- Convert materials: Convert five blue materials into one high-end material.
- Unlock blueprints: Unlock blueprints from control points, raids, side missions, etc.
- Craft: Go to the crafting station and use your materials and blueprints to craft the item.
Hope this helps some of you out there!
