Okay, so, I wanted to figure out my bra size ’cause, like, I’ve been wearing the same ones forever, and they’re not really doing it for me anymore. I went online, searched for “cup size photo” to get some visual guides. The whole process was kinda confusing, but I figured it out step by step, and I think it worked out okay.

First off, I had to measure myself. I grabbed a soft measuring tape that I use for sewing sometimes. So, I started with the band size. I wrapped the tape around my ribcage, right under my boobs, where the bra band usually sits. I made sure the tape was snug but not, like, suffocating me. I took that number down – that’s the band size.
- Found a soft tape measure.
- Wrapped it around my ribcage, under my chest.
- Wrote down the measurement.
Next, I had to measure my bust. I put on my best-fitting bra for this, the one that’s not too tight or loose. Then, I wrapped the tape around the fullest part of my chest, making sure it was level all the way around. I wrote that number down too. The difference between these two numbers is supposed to tell you your cup size.
- Put on my best bra.
- Wrapped the tape around the fullest part of my chest.
- Noted down this measurement.
Then came the tricky part. I had to subtract the band size from the bust size. Apparently, every inch difference is a cup size. So, like, if your bust is 1 inch bigger than your band, you’re an A cup. If it’s 2 inches bigger, you’re a B, and so on. I did the math and figured out what I was supposed to be. I found a chart online that helped me double-check.
- Subtracted band size from bust size.
- Compared the result to an online chart.
Finally Found My Cup Size
I compared my numbers to the charts and pictures I found online, and I think I got it right. It’s weird ’cause it’s different from what I thought, but it makes sense. My old bras were definitely not the right size. I’m gonna try ordering some new ones online with my newfound size and see how they fit. Hopefully, they’ll be way more comfortable and supportive. This whole measuring thing was a bit of a hassle, but totally worth it, I think.
- Ordered new bras based on my calculations.
- Hoping for a better fit and more comfort!
