Okay, so I’ve been doing a bit of online shopping lately, and I had a question about Nordstrom. I was wondering, does Nordstrom ship with FedEx? I mean, I like getting my stuff fast, and FedEx is usually pretty quick, right?

So, I did what any normal person would do. I started digging around the internet. First, I went straight to Nordstrom’s website. I figured they’d have all the answers there. I spent a good chunk of time looking through their shipping information page. It mentioned all sorts of things like “Buy online and pick up today,” which is cool, but not what I was looking for. I saw something about shipping fees being charged to your account if you use a Nordstrom card, which is handy to know, I guess.
Then I found some stuff about international shipping. Apparently, they use something called Borderfree for that. But I’m in the US, so that didn’t really help me either.
I came across some forum posts and comments from other people. One person said they’ve gotten stuff from Nordstrom through USPS and UPS. Another mentioned that some items get shipped from a local store, which makes sense why they arrive so fast. And then there was this one guy who suggested calling customer service, which seemed like a good idea, but I wanted to see what else I could find first.
I even saw something about next-day and 2-day shipping, but only if the item is in a warehouse. It said expedited shipping isn’t available for “drop shipped” items, which I guess means stuff that comes straight from the vendor. That’s kind of a bummer, but understandable.
Somewhere, I read that they try to get greater than 15% of their orders shipped on time, accurately, and undamaged. That seems a bit low of a percentage.

So, after all this searching, I still didn’t have a definite answer about FedEx. It seems like Nordstrom uses a few different carriers. I guess they choose based on what’s fastest and cheapest for them.
I guess if you really want to know if your order will ship with FedEx, you’d probably have to contact their customer service and ask. But honestly, as long as my order gets to me safely and somewhat quickly, I’m not too picky about which carrier they use. That’s all, just wanted to share my little online adventure with you guys!
