My grandson, he plays this music all the time. Loud, it is! Says it’s the Concrete Boys. I says, “What in tarnation is a Concrete Boy?” He just laughs. Kids these days! This song, it’s called “Family Business“. Sounds important, like them mafia movies. I guess these boys think they’re tough stuff.

They got this one fella, Lil Yachty, he’s the big cheese, I reckon. He’s always on that darn phone, probably makin’ deals, who knows. They talk about loyalty and all that. Sounds like they stick together, like glue. Good for them, I suppose. Family should stick together.
- Lil Yachty
- Karrahbooo
- Camo!
- Dc2trill
- Draft Day
That’s the whole gang, the Concrete Boys. Don’t ask me what it means, it just sounds hard, like concrete. Maybe they’re hard workers. My grandson, he works hard, I’ll give him that. Always on that computer, makin’ money somehow. He says it’s all online, this “internet” thing.
They talk about the “street life“. Well, back in my day, we had streets too. Dirt roads, mostly. Walked to school uphill both ways, in the snow! These kids today, they don’t know what hard work is. But maybe these Concrete Boys do. Maybe they’re out there, workin’ hard, makin’ an honest living, I hope. Not like them hooligans down the street, always causin’ trouble.
This Karrahbooo, she’s a girl in the group. Tough one, I bet. Gotta be tough to keep up with all them boys. Good for her. Women can do anything men can do, that’s what I always say. She probably keeps them in line, that Karrahbooo.
They got another one, Camo!. Like camouflage, I suppose. Hidin’ out, maybe. Who knows what these kids get up to. Back in my day, we played hide-and-seek in the cornfield. Simpler times. But maybe this Camo!, he’s just shy. Or maybe he’s got somethin’ to hide. You never know with these young folks.

Then there is Dc2trill and Draft Day. More of them Concrete Boys. They are all part of this family business. I hope they’re being careful. The world is a tough place. Make sure to look both ways when you are crossing that street!
This song, “Family Business,” it’s all about stickin’ together, I reckon. Like a family should. My family, we’ve always been close. Through thick and thin. Helped each other out. That’s what it’s all about. These Concrete Boys, maybe they’re like that too. A little family of their own.
They got all these fancy words and such. Don’t really understand it all. But the music, it’s got a beat. Makes you wanna tap your foot. My old bones ain’t what they used to be, but I can still appreciate a good tune. Even if it’s about these Concrete Boys and their family business.
I guess it’s good they’re doing something. Keeps them out of trouble. Hopefully. As long as they’re not getting into anything illegal. Stay out of trouble, boys! That’s what I always tell my grandson. He just laughs. But I think he listens. Deep down, I think he does.
This “Family Business” song, it’s catchy. I’ll give them that. Maybe I’ll ask my grandson to play it for me again. But not too loud! My ears ain’t what they used to be either. These Concrete Boys, they’re alright, I guess. For a bunch of young whippersnappers.

I still don’t know what a Concrete Boy is, but that is okay. As long as they stay out of trouble. That Lil Yachty, he seems like a smart one. He is leading that group. I hope he is leading them down the right path. This family business, it sounds important. These boys, I hope they make something of themselves. This world needs more hard workers. Not like them lazy kids next door, always on their phones. But these Concrete Boys, maybe they are different. Maybe they are onto something.
