Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz around this fragrance called CH Men Prive, and I finally caved and decided to give it a shot. I mean, who doesn’t love a good cologne, right? I went out to a store and they had it there, so I bought it.

The First Sniff
The first thing I did was obviously open the box. The bottle itself looks pretty slick, all black and classy. Sprayed it on my wrist, and boom! First thing I got was this strong, kind of sweet smell. They say it’s got lavender and cardamom and stuff in it, but honestly, I just smelled something sweet and a bit spicy. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely noticeable. I let it sit for a bit, and it started to change. This is where it gets interesting.
The Dry Down
- The sweetness chilled out a bit, and I started to smell this, like, leathery, woody kind of scent.
- There’s also something else there, something like, maybe a little boozy? Like a hint of whiskey or something.
- It’s definitely masculine, no doubt about that.
I wore it around for the rest of the day, and I gotta say, it grew on me. It’s the kind of smell that makes you feel a bit more, I don’t know, put together? Like you’ve got your stuff sorted. I even got a couple of compliments, which is always a plus.
Wearing it Out
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, mostly for evenings out or when I want to feel a bit more dressed up. It lasts a decent amount of time, I’d say a good 6-8 hours, though it’s not a beast or anything. It’s not the kind of fragrance that will fill a room, but people close to you will definitely notice it.
Final Thoughts
So, is CH Men Prive worth the hype? I’d say yeah, it is. It’s a solid, masculine scent that’s perfect for when you want to feel a bit more sophisticated. It’s not too overpowering, but it’s definitely there. If you’re into those warm, leathery, slightly sweet smells, then you’ll probably dig this. I sprayed it on my clothes too, to see how it would be. That worked too. I am not going to say that it is mind-blowing or anything, but it did surprise me. I guess that is what matters. I’d definitely recommend giving it a sniff if you get the chance.
