Okay, so, I’ve been seeing this two-toned lip trend all over my social media feeds lately, and I finally decided to give it a shot. It’s where you wear two different colors on your lips, and it looks pretty cool, so I thought, “Why not?”

First things first, I had to prep my lips. I dabbed some concealer on them, focusing on the darker areas, you know, just to even things out a bit. Then, I blended it all in to make sure it looked smooth. It was a little tricky to blend, but I did it.
Next, I grabbed a nude lip liner. This was important for outlining my lips and giving them some definition before the actual lipstick went on.
Once the liner was on, I applied a nude lipstick. I chose a nude shade because I thought it would be a good base for the next color I was going to use. The first one I tried was too similar to the concealer so it didn’t really work, but I found a different one that was perfect.
Now for the fun part! I carefully applied another shade, which is darker, to my lips. There are lots of ways to do this part but I decided to go with a darker shade on my lower lip. And there you have it – two-toned lips! I wanted to make sure they popped, and the two colors were really different.
To finish it off, I added a layer of lip balm for a bit of shine and to keep my lips from drying out. You could use gloss too, but I went with balm this time.
- Step 1: Dab concealer on lips and blend.
- Step 2: Apply nude lip liner.
- Step 3: Apply nude lipstick.
- Step 4: Apply a darker shade of lipstick on the lower lip.
- Step 5: Top it off with lip balm or gloss.
Honestly, it turned out better than I expected! It’s a fun look, and I can see why it’s so popular. It was a little tricky to do, especially making sure the two colors didn’t mix too much, but I think I nailed it. Might try different color combos next time!
