So, the other day I decided to treat myself and dive into the world of luxury watches. I’ve always been fascinated by them, especially the ones with those intricate skeleton designs. After doing some research online, I decided to go with a Baume & Mercier. I heard they’re pretty good for someone who wants a luxury watch without totally breaking the bank, you know?

First things first, I went on a hunt for a good deal. I checked out a bunch of different websites and even looked on eBay. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off and that I was getting a genuine watch. After all, you hear those stories about fake luxury watches, and I definitely didn’t want to fall for that.
I finally found a Baume & Mercier Riviera 10721 Skeleton with a rubber strap that I really liked. It looked super cool, and the price was decent. I double-checked the seller’s reputation, read some reviews, and felt pretty good about it. So, I pulled the trigger and ordered it.
The waiting was the hardest part! Every day I was checking the tracking information, just itching to get my hands on it. Finally, the day came, and the package arrived. I carefully opened it up, and there it was – my new Baume & Mercier watch. It was even more stunning in person. The skeleton design was amazing, and you could see all the gears and mechanisms working inside.
- I gently put the watch on my wrist, and it felt great. The rubber strap was really comfortable. I spent a good chunk of time just admiring it, watching the movement, and showing it off. It’s such a neat piece of engineering.
Getting to know my new watch
Now, I know these watches are Swiss-made, which is a big deal in the watch world. It basically means they’re high quality and made with a lot of precision. I also learned that Baume & Mercier is known for their automatic watches, which means they wind themselves as you move your wrist. Pretty cool, right? I even read that all their watches are made in their workshops in Les Brenets, Switzerland.
I’ve been wearing my Baume & Mercier for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. I’ve gotten so many compliments, and it just feels good to wear something so well-made. I also like knowing that it should hold its value pretty well, especially if it’s a vintage model from like the 1920s, which I think is super neat. Apparently, they’re really collectible.

I’m not planning on selling it anytime soon, but it’s nice to know that it’s not just a fancy accessory but also a bit of an investment. But honestly, I love it so much that I’m thinking of passing it down to my kids or something someday. It’s more than just a watch, it’s like a little piece of art that you can wear.
