I was curious about the movie “Groupies” so I decided to look it up. First, I checked out some movie sites to see what it was about. I found out it’s a movie from 1971, and it’s about a girl who meets some groupies and gets involved with a band.

So, I went ahead and watched it. It was definitely a wild ride! The movie started with this young girl, and she kind of stumbles into this whole world of rock and roll and groupies. She meets these two girls, Rene Bond and Suzanne Fields, who are super into this band.
They all end up at the girls’ place, and things get pretty crazy. There’s a lot of partying and, well, you know… Let’s just say it’s not exactly a family-friendly movie.
I kept watching, and it turns out the lead singer of the band, Rick Lutze, is a bit of a character himself. He’s the one leading this whole chaotic scene. The movie is all about this wild lifestyle, following the band around and showing all the ups and downs.
After I finished watching it, I felt like I needed a shower. It was a lot to take in. I went online to see what other people thought, and I found this review by a guy named Peter Dawson who gave it a 3 out of 10. I kind of agree with him – it’s not exactly a masterpiece. It was pretty raw, and the acting wasn’t great.
My Final Thoughts
- What I liked: It was definitely an interesting look into the groupie culture of that time.
- What I didn’t like: The acting was pretty bad, and the story was all over the place.
Overall, I’d say it’s not a movie for everyone. If you’re easily offended, you should probably skip it. But if you’re curious about the wild world of rock and roll in the 70s, and you don’t mind a bit of a messy movie, then you might find it interesting. Just don’t expect a cinematic masterpiece!

I found the rating on some site.
- 7 – Good movie, worth seeing.
- 6 – Not bad, could be much better.
- 5 – So so, okay if you don’t pay.
- 4 – Not good, even if you don’t pay.
- 3 – Poor movie, not recommended.
- 2 – Very bad.
I would give “Groupies” a 3 out of 10. It wasn’t great, but it was an experience.
