So, it seems like these “Vans” folks, whoever they are, they’re makin’ a big to-do about Halloween. They got these here shoes and clothes all fixed up with scary stuff. I reckon it’s like them costumes the kids wear, only you can wear ’em on your feet and all over.
- Scary Movie Shoes: They got shoes, see? And these ain’t just any shoes. They got pictures and stuff from them scary movies. You know, the ones with the monsters and the creepy folks. Heard tell there’s somethin’ about “The Shining,” whatever that is. Sounds shiny though! And somethin’ called “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Friday the 13th.” Sounds like bad luck to me, but these youngsters, they like that kinda stuff. They got these different kinds of shoes too. Some are high-tops, some are low-tops. They got names like “Sk8-Hi,” “Old Skool,” “Era,” “Style 47,” and “Classic Slip-On.” Fancy names for shoes, I tell ya!
- Hoodies and Tees: Now, they ain’t just stoppin’ at shoes. They got them hoodies too, you know, them sweatshirts with the hoods on ’em. And t-shirts. Some of ’em glow in the dark! Can you believe it? Glowin’ in the dark! Like fireflies, but on your clothes. They say it’s spooky, I say it’s just plain weird.
- Whole Dang Halloween Getup: So, you can get yourself a whole Halloween outfit from these Vans folks. Shoes, shirts, hoodies… the whole shebang. They got it all, they say. And it’s all got that scary theme. Perfect for them trick-or-treaters, I guess. Or for anyone who wants to look like they just stepped out of a monster movie.

They say this stuff is comin’ out on October 1st. That’s right around the corner, ain’t it? So, if you’re one of them folks who likes to dress up all spooky-like, you better mark your calendar. They’re callin’ it a “Horror Collection.” Sounds scary, don’t it? I reckon it’s just a bunch of clothes and shoes with scary pictures on ’em. But these city folks, they like to give things fancy names. “Horror Collection” sounds a whole lot fancier than “scary clothes,” I guess.

And if you’re lookin’ for a gift for one of them youngsters, well, this might be just the ticket. They say it’s good for gifts. I don’t know nothin’ about givin’ gifts like this, but if they say so, it must be true. A glow-in-the-dark t-shirt? Sounds like a waste of good money to me, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman. But the young’uns, they might like it.
