Yo, what up, it’s your girl back at it again, talking ’bout this fashion stuff. Heard some youngins yappin’ ’bout somethin’ called HBA and Been Trill. Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me, but I’m here to break it down for ya, simple and plain.
What is HBA and Been Trill?
Well, from what I gather, these are some fancy streetwear brands. Yeah, clothes you wear on the street, but they cost ya an arm and a leg. Kids these days, I tell ya! Back in my day, we just wore what kept us warm or cool, didn’t matter the brand.
This HBA, stands for Hood By Air, I think. Sounds kinda tough, right? Like somethin’ you’d wear if you were in a gang or somethin’. But these kids, they wear it just to look cool. And Been Trill? Don’t even get me started on that one. I heard it got somethin to do with music, and the internet. It all happened after I stopped paying attention to what the cool kids were doing. All that stuff is too much for this old gal. I just wear my old dresses and that’s it.
Why Folks Wearin’ It?
Why? To look cool, of course! That’s all these young folks care about these days. Lookin’ cool, gettin’ attention. This one fella, ASAP Rocky, I heard he used to wear this stuff all the time. He’s a big shot, you know, a rapper. And when he wears somethin’, everyone else wants to wear it too.

- They think it makes ’em look cool, I guess.
- Maybe they think it’s gonna make ’em popular.
- These clothes are expensive, so wearing them is a status symbol. It’s like showing off.
It’s like a uniform for them, this HBA and Been Trill. If you ain’t wearin’ it, you ain’t cool. That’s what they think, anyway. Bunch of nonsense if you ask me. But hey, if that’s how they wanna spend their money. It’s not my problem.
ASAP Rocky and HBA Been Trill
This ASAP Rocky, he’s a big deal in this whole HBA and Been Trill thing. He used to wear it all the time, like I said. Made it popular. Then, somethin’ happened. He made a song, somethin’ called “Multiply”. And in that song, he said somethin’ bad about HBA. I can only remember the bad words that he said. But, I don’t cuss. So I won’t repeat it.
After that, some folks stopped wearin’ HBA. They were just followin’ ASAP Rocky, see? Like sheep! No mind of their own. One minute it’s cool, the next minute it ain’t. Makes no sense!
Is HBA Been Trill Still Cool?
Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Some folks still wear it. Some don’t. I guess it depends on who you ask. Me? I wouldn’t be caught dead in it. But I’m old-fashioned, what do I know? I don’t know much about fashion. I just wear what I already have.
These young folks, they’ll wear whatever’s trendy. One day it’s HBA and Been Trill, the next day it’s somethin’ else. They’re always chasin’ the next big thing. It’s like they have no sense of who they are, so they use these brands to make them feel cool or tough. I think that’s sad.
If you are young and you like these brands, then wear them. If you don’t like them, then don’t wear them. It’s that simple.
This Whole Thing is Silly
Honestly, this whole HBA and Been Trill thing is just silly. Clothes are clothes. They ain’t gonna make you a better person. They ain’t gonna make you happy. Just wear what you like, what makes you feel good. Don’t worry about what everyone else is wearin’.
These streetwear brands, they come and go. One minute they’re in, the next minute they’re out. Don’t get caught up in all that. Just be yourself. And don’t spend all your money on clothes! Save some for a rainy day. That’s what I always say. These kids, they need to learn the value of a dollar. They throw it around like it’s nothin’. I worked hard for my money. I don’t waste it on silly clothes.
