Today I was scrolling through social media, and I saw a meme about the “holiday work week.” It got me thinking about how weird that week between Christmas and New Year’s really is. I mean, does anyone actually get any work done?

So, I decided to make my own meme about it. First, I needed a good picture. I spent like 20 minutes browsing through some image sites, looking for something that captured the vibe. I found this one picture of a sloth hanging from a branch, looking super chill, and I thought, “Yep, that’s it.”
Next, I needed to come up with some funny text. I was thinking about how I basically do nothing that whole week. I just sit on my computer, kinda staring at the screen, pretending to work. So, I wrote: “Me trying to work during the holiday week.” I kept it simple, you know?
Then, I used an online meme generator to put the picture and the text together. It was super easy. I just uploaded the sloth picture and typed in my text. I could even adjust the font and the size of the text. It took me like 5 minutes, no joke.
Here’s How I Actually Did It:
- Found the Image:
Spent way too long looking for the perfect sloth picture. This part took the longest, honestly. I am so easy to be distracted.
- Wrote the Text:
Tried to be funny. I think I nailed it, but you be the judge. I just discribed my real holiday work week situation, haha.
- Used a Meme Generator:
This was the easiest part. Just put the picture and text together, boom, done. I really recommend everyone to try to create a meme yourself. It is a lot of fun!
I posted my meme on my social media, and people seemed to like it. I even got a few comments from people saying how relatable it was. It made my day, honestly. I love making people laugh, even if it’s just with a silly meme. It also made me felt that, I am not alone with this holiday work week struggle. I am pretty sure everyone just want to chill during that time, haha.
So, yeah, that’s how I spent part of my day. Making a meme about not working. Oh, the irony. But hey, at least I was productive in my own way, right? This was a nice experiment, and I definitely will do it again!
