Okay, so I’ve been seeing this ELF Halo Glow thing all over my feed lately, and you know me, I gotta try what’s trending. So, I grabbed one a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been putting it to the test. Here’s the lowdown on what I did and how it went.
Getting Started
First off, I picked my shade online. That was a bit of a gamble, but I used the little shade matcher thingy they had, and I think I got it right. I went with a shade that seemed pretty close to my usual foundation. When it arrived, I ripped that box open like a kid on Christmas. The bottle’s pretty sleek, I’ll give it that. It’s got this big doe-foot applicator, which was kinda surprising.
Putting It On
Next, I tried it a few different ways. One day, I just dotted it all over my face like they show in the ads – you know, on the cheekbones, forehead, nose, chin. Then I blended it out with a damp beauty sponge. It sheered out pretty nicely, gave me a subtle glow, nothing too crazy. Another day, I mixed a few drops of it in with my regular foundation. This gave my foundation a little extra oomph, made it look more luminous. Worked pretty well, I gotta say. I also tried it as a straight-up highlighter, just dabbing a little on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose after my foundation was already on. That worked too, gave me a nice little pop where I wanted it.
Wearing It Around
- I wore it to work, to the grocery store, even on a little date night.
- I noticed that it lasts pretty well, even on my oily skin. It didn’t get all patchy or weird by the end of the day.
- I did get a few compliments, people saying my skin looked “healthy” and “glowy.” Not bad, right?
My Honest Opinion
Finally, after all this testing, what do I really think? I think it’s a pretty cool product, especially for the price. It’s not going to replace my foundation or anything, but it’s a fun little addition to my makeup routine. It’s versatile, you can wear it in different ways, and it gives you that trendy dewy look without being over the top. Would I buy it again? Yeah, probably. It’s a fun little thing to play around with, and it does give a nice little glow. I even grabbed another one for my best friend, she’s gonna love it.
