Okay, guys, so today I’m gonna show you how I curl my hair. It’s not as hard as it looks, trust me. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I’ve got it down to a pretty simple routine.

Get Your Stuff Ready
First, I gather everything I need. Of course, you need a curling iron. Size matters, but I just use a normal-sized one. You’ll also want a comb, some clips to section off your hair, and definitely some heat protectant spray. Don’t skip that last one, seriously. It’ll save your hair from getting fried. And maybe if you want to keep your curls last longer, you may get some hairspray as well.
Prep Your Hair
I always start with clean, dry hair. I wash and condition it like usual, then I blow-dry it until it’s completely dry. While it’s still a bit damp, I spray on that heat protectant. Then, I comb through it to make sure it’s all smooth and tangle-free. This makes the curling process way easier.
Start Curling
Next, I divide my hair into sections. I usually do three – top, middle, and bottom. I clip up the top and middle sections, leaving the bottom layer free. Then I take a small piece of hair from the bottom section and, starting from the root, I wrap it around the curling iron. I hold it there for a few seconds, maybe 5-10, and then I carefully release the curl. I just repeat this for the whole bottom section.
Keep Going
- After I finish the bottom layer, I unclip the middle section and do the same thing.
- Small pieces, wrap, hold, release.
- It’s kind of repetitive, but you get into a rhythm.
- Finally, I do the top section.
- For the pieces around my face, I always curl away from my face.
- It just looks better that way, I think.
Finishing Touches
Once all my hair is curled, I let it cool down for a few minutes. Then, I gently run my fingers through the curls to loosen them up a bit. I don’t want them to look too perfect or stiff. Sometimes I’ll flip my head upside down and shake it out a little for some extra volume. And lastly, I might spray a tiny bit of hairspray to hold everything in place, especially if I’m going out.
And that’s it! It seems like a lot of steps, but it actually goes pretty fast once you get the hang of it. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for your hair. My hair now looks good and that makes me happy! Hope this helps you guys out!
