So, the other day I decided to make some garlic bread. I had this loaf of bread just sitting there, and I was like, “Why not?” Plus, who doesn’t love that garlicky goodness, right?

Getting Started
First off, I grabbed that loaf of bread. It was just a regular baguette, nothing fancy. Then, I went digging for some garlic. Luckily, I had a few cloves left. Also needed some butter and a bit of olive oil. I don’t really measure things out, I just eyeball it. Oh, and I found some dried oregano in the spice rack, so I figured I’d throw that in too.
Prepping the Goodness
I started by mincing the garlic. Man, I love the smell of fresh garlic, but my hands smelled like it for hours! I put that in a bowl and added a good amount of softened butter and a splash of olive oil. Mixed it all up until it was kind of like a paste. Then, I sprinkled in some of that oregano, just a pinch, you know, for that herby kick.
Putting It Together
Next, I sliced the baguette. Not all the way through, just enough to create little pockets. Then, I spread that garlic butter mixture into each slice. I made sure to get it in every nook and cranny. I wanted that garlic flavor in every bite, you feel me?
Baking Time
- Wrap it up: I took a big piece of foil and wrapped the whole loaf up nice and tight.
- Oven time: I preheated the oven to 350 degrees F. Once it was ready, I popped the wrapped bread in there.
- Patience is key: I let it bake for about 15-20 minutes. I wanted it to be all warm and the butter to be melted and soaked into the bread.
The Result
When I took it out, oh boy, the smell! My kitchen smelled like an Italian restaurant. I carefully unwrapped the foil, and there it was—golden, buttery, garlicky perfection. I let it cool just a bit, then sliced it up.
It was so good! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and that garlic flavor was just spot on. I ended up eating it with some leftover spaghetti, and it was the perfect combo. Honestly, I could probably eat garlic bread every day.

If you have leftover, just wrap in foil and you can heat it next time, it will be another delicious garlic bread!
