Alright, alright, let’s gab about this, uh, “ss25” thing. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks yap about. Don’t know much about it, but I reckon I can piece it together for ya.
So, this “ss25,” seems like it’s all about clothes. Fancy clothes, the kind you wouldn’t wear to slop the hogs, that’s for sure. Fashion, they call it. Heard it on the TV once, whilst I was waitin’ for my soaps to come on.
They had these, whatchamacallits, “Milan Fashion Week,” and “Dubai Fashion Week”. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over some dresses and such. This “ss25” thing must be part of that. Spring and Summer, they say. Like they need new clothes for every season! Back in my day, you wore what ya had ’til it fell off your back, then you patched it up and wore it some more.
- Milan, they say, was all “audacity and mix of references.” Don’t know what that means, but I bet it’s loud and flashy. City folks like things loud, I figure.
- Dubai, well, they was on about payin’ tribute to their heritage. That sounds nice, I guess. Respectin’ your elders and where you come from, that’s important. Though I doubt their heritage involves overalls and work boots like mine.
Then there’s this “Bottega Veneta” and a fella named “Matthieu Blazy.” He’s the, uh, “creative director.” Sounds important. He’s makin’ clothes that are “playful” and “power dressing,” with a bit of “chic awkwardness.” Lord, I don’t know what half them words mean. “Playful” clothes? Like they got bells and whistles? And “chic awkwardness”? That just sounds like somethin’ you’d trip over. But they say it’s high quality stuff, the kind where you notice every little stitch. Must cost a pretty penny, I’d wager. More than a good milk cow, that’s for sure.
And there’s this fella, “Christian Cowan” from New York. They call him the “go-to” guy for “high-octane glamour.” Glamour, huh? Like them movie stars. His clothes, they say, got lots of black. Practical color, black. Doesn’t show the dirt as much. Though I reckon his black ain’t the same as the black on my work pants after a day in the garden.
Paris, France, another one of them fancy places. A place called “Courrges” had a show in a big white box. All white, can you imagine? Probably get dirty just lookin’ at it. They was showin’ off their “ss25” collection too. Must be a big deal, this “ss25” thing.

And someone called “Rave Review” was goin’ on about “The Simple Life.” Now that’s somethin’ I understand. Simple life, that’s my life. But their “simple life” is probably a whole lot different than mine. They got “soft florals” and “red ginghams.” Sounds pretty, I guess, but not much use when you’re mendin’ fences. Spring and Summer clothes, they say. Makes sense, I suppose. You wouldn’t wear a heavy coat in the heat.
So, this “ss25″… It’s all about new clothes for the spring and summer. Fancy clothes, from fancy places, made by fancy people. They got their own words for it – “audacity,” “heritage,” “chic awkwardness,” “high-octane glamour.” Sounds like a whole lotta hogwash to me, but if them city folk wanna spend their money on it, that’s their business. Me? I’ll stick to my overalls and my sturdy boots. They ain’t fashionable, but they get the job done. And that’s what matters, ain’t it? Gettin’ the job done. This “ss25” thing, it’s probably gonna be old news by the time the leaves start fallin’. Then they’ll be on to somethin’ else, I bet. That’s just how they are.
But hey, if it makes ‘em happy, that’s all that matters. Everyone’s got their own way of doin’ things. Me? I like things plain and simple. These fashion folks, well, they like things fancy and complicated. To each their own, I always say. Fashion Trends come and go, but overalls? Overalls are forever.
This ss25 thing might be important for search engines though, I heard my grandson talkin’ about it. Said somethin’ about writin’ for the ‘internet’ so folks can find it. So, I guess all this talk about fancy clothes and fashion weeks… well, it’s for that too. To help folks looking for this “ss25” find it easier.
