Man, it’s been a wild ride getting into the whole Jodie Turner-Smith thing in 2024. I mean, I’ve been following her for a while now, ever since she blew me away in “Queen & Slim.” That movie was something else, and she was just magnetic on screen. So, naturally, I got curious about what she’s been up to lately.
First thing I did was a basic search, just to see what projects she’s got cooking. Turns out, she’s got a bunch of stuff lined up! There’s this movie called “Borderland,” which is still TBA, and then another one, “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” coming in 2025. But the one that really caught my eye was “The Acolyte.” It’s a series, and it’s supposed to drop sometime this year. I’m a sucker for a good series, so I’m definitely keeping an eye out for that one. I noticed “Murder Mystery 2” and “White Noise” were released last year in 2023, so I’ve added those to my watch list too, just to see more of her range.
I started digging deeper, you know, reading interviews and stuff. I came across this one interview where she talked about starting fresh on a new project. That resonated with me. It’s always exciting to see how actors approach new roles, and it sounds like she really throws herself into each one.
The Agency
Then there’s this show, “The Agency.” I saw a picture of her with Richard Gere at the premiere at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Looked like a fancy event. Apparently, her character’s relationship with someone named Samia is a big deal in the show. I read an interview about it, and it sounds pretty intense.
I even stumbled upon her Instagram. Back in October 2024, she posted something about working on a project for six months. Said it was coming soon. Now that really piqued my interest! Could be the show, “The Acolyte”? Or something else entirely? Gotta keep an eye out for updates from her.
I also went down a bit of a rabbit hole, I came across some random stuff too, like a discussion about Golden Globe nominations and something about Spotify Wrapped. Not really related, but hey, it’s the internet, you never know what you’ll find. Noticed that she was in an old TV show “True Blood”, which I found interesting.
Personal Life
And of course, you can’t avoid the personal stuff. I read that she was married to Joshua Jackson, the guy from “Dawson’s Creek.” They have a kid together, but it sounds like they split up last year. I saw something about her moving out of their place in L.A. That’s rough. Hope she’s doing okay. It’s always a bit weird to read about the personal lives of people you admire, but I guess it’s part of the whole package.
