Alright, let’s talk about these here “jordan 1 zion” shoes, ya hear? I don’t know much about fancy sneakers, but my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about ’em. So, I figured I’d try and make some sense of it all for ya.

What in tarnation is a “jordan 1 zion” anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it’s a type of shoe. A “sneaker,” they call it. Now, I wear sneakers to the garden, but these young folks, they wear ’em everywhere. This “jordan 1 zion,” it seems special, like some kinda collector’s item, you know? Like them fancy plates my sister keeps locked up in that glass cabinet.
First time they showed up
I heard tell that these “jordan 1 zion” shoes, they first came out on April 23rd. They was white and black, plain as day, like a cow in a field. But folks went crazy for ’em. Guess they ain’t seen a black and white shoe before, ha!
Why all the fuss?

Beats me. Seems like every year they come out with new ones. Different colors, different designs. This fella, Zion, he’s a basketball player, I think. A big fella, strong as an ox. So, I guess these shoes are supposed to be tough, like him.
Rare ones, they say
Now, some of these shoes, they’re real rare. Like that “Colette Air Jordan 1”. Never sold ’em in stores, just gave ’em to the folks working there. Blue and white, they was. Got dots on ’em, too. Double dots, mind you! My grandson says they’re worth a fortune. More than my old pickup truck, that’s for sure!
Then there’s this other one, the “Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago.” My grandson drools over that one. Says it’s a “grail,” whatever that means. Looks like the same old shoe to me, but with extra stitching or somethin’. Folks pay a king’s ransom for these things, I tell ya. Makes no sense to me, but then again, I don’t understand half the things young people do these days.
Where to get ’em, if you’re so inclined
Now, if you’re itchin’ to get your hands on a pair of these “jordan 1 zion” shoes, or any other fancy sneakers, you gotta know where to look. There’s these places online, like “Foot Locker,” they call it. Sell all kinds of shoes and clothes. My grandson’s always lookin’ at it, scrollin’ and tappin’ on that little phone of his. Says they got all the “premium” stuff.
And then there’s that “Amazon” place. They got everything under the sun, shoes included. Free shippin’ if you’re one of them “Prime” members, whatever that is. Sounds like a load of hooey to me, but folks seem to like it.
- Foot Locker: They got all the new shoes, the ones the kids are all crazy about.
- Amazon: They got everything, shoes, clothes, even garden tools, I bet. Free shippin’, if you’re fancy.
- Other places: My grandson talks about other stores, too. But I can’t remember all the names. Too many fancy words for my old brain. But they’re out there, you just gotta look.
Protecting them fancy feet
Now, if you do manage to snag a pair of these “jordan 1 zion” shoes, or any other fancy sneakers for that matter, you gotta take care of ’em. They ain’t cheap! My grandson, he’s got sprays and brushes and all sorts of contraptions to keep his shoes clean. He says they got somethin’ called “impact protection” inside the shoes. Guess that means they keep your feet from hurtin’ when you’re runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off.
More than just shoes

You know, it seems to me these shoes ain’t just about coverin’ your feet. They’re about showin’ off, about belongin’ to some kinda club. My grandson, he wears his fancy shoes and he feels like a big shot. Struts around like a rooster in a henhouse. And I guess that’s alright. Everybody needs somethin’ to make ’em feel good, even if it is just a pair of overpriced shoes.
Clothes and such
And it ain’t just shoes neither. These stores, they sell all kinds of clothes. Hats, jackets, shirts, the whole shebang. My grandson calls it “streetwear.” Looks like regular clothes to me, but with fancy writin’ on ’em. And they charge an arm and a leg for it, you betcha. But folks buy it up, wantin’ to look like them basketball players or singers or whatever.
In the end
So, that’s the lowdown on these “jordan 1 zion” shoes, as best as I can figure it. They’re shoes, they’re fancy, they’re expensive, and folks go crazy for ’em. If you got the money and the inclination, go ahead and buy yourself a pair. But me? I’ll stick to my old work boots. They ain’t pretty, but they get the job done. And that’s all that matters to this old woman.

And if you’re lookin’ for shoes or clothes, just remember those places I told ya about. Foot Locker and Amazon. They got it all, apparently. Just don’t go spendin’ your life savings on a pair of sneakers, ya hear? There’s more important things in life than fancy shoes.
