I wanted to watch “Jujutsu Kaisen” Season 3 today, I heard it’s going to be about the Culling Game, sounds pretty wild.
So I started by looking up what this Culling Game is all about. From what I gathered, it’s this crazy battle royale set up by some dude named Kenjaku after the Shibuya Incident. Sorcerers and cursed users are forced to fight each other in different colonies across Japan. It’s like, imagine a messed up version of a tournament arc, but with way higher stakes.
I then dug a bit deeper into what happens before this Culling Game. It seems like there’s a whole arc called the Perfect Preparation arc. That’s where the main characters get ready for this insane battle royale. It covers chapters 144-158 of the manga, if you’re into that. They are probably training and strategizing, you know, getting all their ducks in a row before all hell breaks loose.
I also read a bit about the general plot of “Jujutsu Kaisen”, just to refresh my memory. It’s all about cursed spirits and this super powerful demon named Ryomen Sukuna. His body parts are scattered around, and if any demon gets hold of them, they could destroy the world. So it’s like, a race against time to stop these demons from getting too powerful.
Remembered that the main character, Yuji, he’s taken to Jujutsu High in Tokyo. There he has this meeting with the school principal, Masamichi Yaga. This principal guy tests Yuji’s resolve, making sure he’s got the right reasons for being there. So it’s not just about fighting, but also about having the right motivation and spirit, which I guess is important when you’re dealing with curses and demons.
Summary of my progress today:
- Got the basic idea of the Culling Game: It’s a battle royale initiated by Kenjaku after the Shibuya Incident.
- Learned about the Perfect Preparation arc: This is where the main characters prepare for the Culling Game.
- Refreshed on the general plot: Cursed spirits, the demon Ryomen Sukuna, and the mission of Jujutsu High.
- Understood Yuji’s meeting with the principal: It’s about testing his convictions for attending Jujutsu High.
I’m pretty excited to see how all this plays out in Season 3. Sounds like it’s going to be intense. I heard some people say that Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the biggest modern anime, so it should be pretty good.
Alright, that’s my share for today, will do more tomorrow.
