Okay, so I saw Kim Kardashian dropped some new makeup stuff under her SKKN brand, right? And like everyone else, I got curious. I mean, it’s Kim K, she always looks so put together. So I thought, why not try and recreate her signature look with this new 2024 collection? I wasn’t expecting much, but I was down for a little experiment.
First off, I grabbed the new stuff from the SKKN by Kim line. They’ve got this Soft Matte Lip Color, which sounded promising. I also saw they launched a few other things for a holiday collection – seemed like a good time to try, with all the holiday parties coming up and everything. I figured I’d do a full face, you know, go all in.
I started with the base. I have to say it’s a lot like her KKW Beauty before. I prepped my skin like I usually do, nothing fancy, just some moisturizer. Then I went in with the foundation. I tried to match Kim’s usual coverage, kind of medium but buildable. The stuff blended okay, not the best I’ve used, but it did the job.
Next up, the eyes. Now, Kim is known for those smoky eyes, so that’s what I attempted. I used a couple of palettes I already had, trying to get that same depth and smokiness. It was a bit of a struggle, honestly. Getting the right blend without it looking muddy is tough. I watched some makeup tutorials also. They are helpful. But after some trial and error, I think I got something close.
- Concealer time! I dabbed some under my eyes and around my nose, just like I always see in those beauty tutorials.
- Setting the base – I used a loose powder to set everything. Gotta make sure it lasts, right?
Then came the lips. I lined my lips with a nude liner, trying to mimic Kim’s signature pout. Then I applied the Soft Matte Lip Color. The color was nice, I’ll give them that. A really pretty nude that I think would look good on a lot of people. It felt comfortable on the lips, not too drying, which is a plus.
I finished off with some bronzer and highlighter, trying to get that sculpted look Kim always has. I’m not the best at contouring, but I did my best. A little blush, some mascara, and setting spray to lock it all in. I think I spent, like, a good hour on this whole thing.

When I was done, I took a step back to look in the mirror. Did I look like Kim Kardashian? Well, not exactly. But did I feel a little bit more glam? Yeah, I did. The makeup was fun to play with, and trying out her style was a nice change from my usual routine.
Would I do it again? Maybe for a special occasion. It’s not an everyday look for me, that’s for sure. But it was cool to see how makeup can really change up your look. Plus, those SKKN products weren’t half bad. I might actually keep using that lip color. Anyway, that’s my little makeup adventure. It was fun playing makeup artist for a day!
