Looking for Sites Like Polyvore? Check Out These Awesome Alternatives!

Date:

Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about them “sites like Polyvore,” ya know? Them places where you can put together outfits and stuff. Polyvore, that thing’s gone now, shut down tighter than a drum. Don’t rightly know why, but folks sure did like it. So, what’s a gal to do when she wants to play dress-up on the computer? Gotta find somethin’ else, that’s what!

First off, there’s this thing called Urstyle. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just another one of them mood board thingamajigs. You can slap pictures of clothes together, make an outfit, pretend you’re gonna wear it to the church social. It ain’t rocket science, I tell ya. Just clickin’ and draggin’, like you’re arrangin’ them magnets on the fridge.

  • Easy to use, even for an old biddy like me.
  • Lots of clothes pictures, so you can find somethin’ you like.
  • Can share your outfits with your friends, if you got any of them fancy computer friends.

Then there’s this ChicVore. Now, that one’s supposed to be real close to Polyvore, like two peas in a pod. But I ain’t so sure. Seems like all these websites are pretty much the same to me. You look at pictures, you pick some out, you stick ’em together. Boom, you got an outfit. It’s like paper dolls for grown-ups, I reckon.

And then there’s a whole bunch of others, names I can’t hardly pronounce. ShopLook, that’s one. And some kinda thing called SnapLook, but that one’s just for that Chrome thingy on the computer. Too complicated for me, I say. I just want somethin’ simple, where I can find a pretty dress and some matchin’ shoes. Is that too much to ask?

What I liked about Polyvore, and what I reckon most folks liked, was how easy it was to find stuff. You could search by color, like if you wanted a red dress, you just typed in “red dress” and poof! There it was. Now, these new sites, they ain’t always so easy. Sometimes you gotta dig around, like a chicken scratchin’ for corn.

And speakin’ of diggin’, I heard tell there’s a list of 50 sites like Polyvore floatin’ around out there. Fifty! That’s more websites than there are chickens in my coop! I ain’t got time to look at all them. I just need one or two good ones, somethin’ that works and don’t give me a headache. And somethin’ free, of course. I ain’t made of money, you know.

Now, some folks say Polyvore got shut down ’cause it wasn’t makin’ enough money. Or maybe folks just stopped usin’ it. Who knows? Them city folks and their fancy businesses, they do things I don’t understand. All I know is, it was a good site, and I miss it. It was fun to play around with, even if I never actually wore any of them outfits I put together. It was just somethin’ to do, ya know? Kept me busy on them long winter afternoons.

So, what’s the best Polyvore alternative? Well, I reckon that depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you want somethin’ simple and easy, Urstyle or ChicVore might be the way to go. If you want somethin’ fancy and complicated, well, you’re on your own. Me, I’ll stick with the easy stuff. I ain’t got the patience for nothin’ else. And if I can’t find what I’m lookin’ for, well, I’ll just go back to lookin’ at them Sears catalogs. At least I know what I’m gettin’ with them.

And another thing, these young’uns, they like to share their outfits all over the place. Facebook, I think they call it. I don’t have one of them, too busy milkin’ the cows. But if you’re into that kinda thing, seems like most of these websites let you do it. Share your outfits with your friends, your family, the whole wide world. I don’t see the point, myself, but to each their own, I say.

In conclusion, there are a lot of “sites like Polyvore” out there. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just plain ugly. But if you’re lookin’ for a way to play dress-up on the computer, there’s bound to be somethin’ that’ll suit your fancy. Just don’t expect it to be exactly like Polyvore. That ship has sailed, as they say. But hey, who knows, maybe one of these new sites will be even better. Only time will tell, I reckon.

So go on, give ’em a try. What’s the worst that could happen? You might just find your new favorite way to waste time on the computer. And if you don’t like it, well, there’s always more chickens to feed.

Okay, so I wanted to mess around with something...

yellow purple nike shoes
