So, I’ve been on this whole journey with loose denim jeans lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I’ve always been a skinny jeans kind of guy, but I figured it was time to switch things up a bit. You know, get out of my comfort zone and all that.

Finding the Right Fit
First off, I started looking around at what was out there. I saw some mentions of SSENSE, Neiman Marcus, and Baltini. But honestly, I’m not really into those high-end, designer brands. I wanted something more, you know, everyday and affordable.
I did notice a lot of people talking about the rise of the jeans. Some said mid to high rise is the way to go if you want a more polished look. Others were all about that low-rise, street-style vibe. I personally found the mid-rise to be the sweet spot. Not too high, not too low, just right for my body type.
Experimenting with Styles
Then came the fun part – trying on a bunch of different styles. I hit up a few stores, tried on everything from wide-leg to straight-leg, even some with a bit of a taper. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest, but I started to get a feel for what I liked. And I learned a thing or two from the 80s to 2000s fashion about baggy pants.
- Wide-leg: These were super comfy, but sometimes felt a bit too much, like I was swimming in fabric.
- Straight-leg: A classic for a reason. They were relaxed but still had some shape.
- Tapered: These were interesting. Loose up top, but a bit more fitted around the ankles.
Making Them My Own
After trying on what felt like a million pairs, I finally found “the ones.” They’re a pair of mid-rise, straight-leg jeans from Levi’s. A bit of a classic, I know, but they just fit me perfectly. They’re loose, but not overly baggy, and they have this worn-in look that I really dig. And the price was right, especially since I found them on sale!
Now that I had the jeans, it was time to figure out how to style them. I’ve been experimenting with different tops and shoes, trying to find that balance between relaxed and put-together. I am sure I will find the best match.

So yeah, that’s my loose denim jeans story so far. It’s been a bit of a process, but I’m really happy I decided to give them a try. They’re comfortable, they’re stylish, and they’ve definitely added a new dimension to my wardrobe. I might even check out some of those other brands I saw mentioned, like Madewell or Agolde, just to see what else is out there. Who knows, maybe I’ll find another pair to add to my collection!
I’ve even seen some people online talking about JEANSTORE, which seems to have a good rep for customer service and free returns. Might be worth checking out if I decide to order online. And FITJEANS sounds interesting, too – apparently, they’re made by denim lovers, for denim lovers. Always cool to support a brand that’s passionate about what they do. There is also a German brand, according to the search result, their loose-fit jeans for men seem to be a good choice for casual wear.
Anyway, I’m excited to keep rocking my loose jeans and see how else I can style them. It’s like a whole new world of fashion has opened up to me, and I’m here for it!
