So, I’ve been keeping an eye on this whole Louis Vuitton summer collection thing, they call it “Summer by the Pool” or something like that. I saw an article mentioning that the global launch is set for January 2nd, which is pretty soon, and got intrigued. I gotta say, the stuff I’ve seen so far is pretty wild.

First off, I started digging around to see what this brand is even about. Turns out, Louis Vuitton is a big deal in the fancy fashion world. They’re known for all sorts of luxurious stuff, especially their leather goods and bags with that iconic “LV” monogram.
Then I looked into what they were doing for this summer line. I read about Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall 2024 collection, which was apparently a big anniversary show for him at the Louvre in Paris. But this summer thing seems to be more about moving forward, as they say. It’s got a lot of wild stuff going on – metallic finishes, gemstones, those puffy balloon sleeves, and patterns that just seem all over the place. They call it “avant-garde,” which I guess means super modern and experimental.
- I browsed through some pictures of the collection.
- The colors are all over the place, from soft sunrise-like pastels to these vibrant sunset colors.
- They’ve got this Monogram gradient thing happening, which looks kind of cool, I guess.
I also found out that this collection is supposed to be about the “interconnectedness of humanity” and uses travel-themed designs to show how people are connected but also unique. Sounds a bit deep for a clothing line, but okay.
One thing that really caught my eye is that Louis Vuitton never does sales or discounts. So, if you see their stuff cheap online, it’s probably fake. That’s a bummer for bargain hunters like me, but I get it, it’s a luxury brand.
My Take on It All
Honestly, it’s all a bit much for me. The designs are definitely eye-catching, but it feels like they’re trying too hard to be different. I mean, who really needs a bag that looks like it came from the future? But hey, maybe that’s just me. I guess some people are into that kind of thing. It’s definitely a conversation starter, that’s for sure.

It is all about a feeling, a vibe, this is what I got from “Summer by the pool” collection.
I will keep my eyes on this collection, maybe there will be something I really like.
