Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Kendrick Lamar. Folks been buzzin’ ’bout him like bees ’round a honeypot. They say he’s a big deal rapper, you know, one of them fellas who talks real fast and makes a lotta noise. Heard tell he’s got a new album out, somethin’ called “GNX”.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this kinda music, mind you. I like a good hymn now and then, somethin’ with a bit of soul. But these young folks, they all about this “rap” stuff. And Kendrick, well, he seems to be the king of the hill, at least for now. Kendrick Lamar new album release date, they keep askin’. Well, it’s out! They dropped it on us like a surprise rain shower.
I heard on the radio, some fella was talkin’ ’bout it. Said Kendrick’s been feudin’ with another rapper, Drake, I think his name was. Sounds like a bunch of chickens squawkin’ in the barnyard, if you ask me. But I guess that’s how these fellas do things. Makes for a good show, I reckon.
- They say “GNX” is his sixth album. That’s a whole lotta singin’, or rappin’, or whatever they call it.
- Heard it’s got twelve songs on it. Twelve! That’s more songs than I got chickens. And that’s sayin’ somethin’.
- This “GNX” album, it came out on Friday, November 22nd. Folks were sayin’ it was an early Christmas present. Humph, I’d rather have a new pair of socks, but to each their own.
Now, this Kendrick fella, he’s been makin’ music for a while, it seems. They say he’s got all sorts of projects under his belt – albums, mixtapes, even somethin’ called an “EP.” Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a doctor’s office. And he even did music for that “Black Panther” movie. My grandson dragged me to see that one. Lotta explosions and fightin’, not much talkin’. But the music, well, it wasn’t half bad.
So, this new album, “GNX”, it’s his first one since 2022. That’s two whole years! Folks been waitin’ on it like a thirsty cow waitin’ for rain. And now it’s here, and they’re all listenin’ and talkin’ and carryin’ on. New album from Kendrick Lamar this year, and all the young people are excited, I can see.
I heard some folks sayin’ this “GNX” album is different, that Kendrick’s tryin’ new things. Well, I say good for him. Can’t be doin’ the same old thing over and over, like a rooster crowin’ at sunrise. Gotta keep things fresh, like a new batch of biscuits. Otherwise, folks get bored and move on to the next shiny thing. Kendrick Lamar’s album release was a surprise, that’s for sure, like finding an extra egg in the coop. Folks were talkin’ about the release date for months, and then bam, there it was.
And speakin’ of shiny things, I heard tell this Kendrick fella has won a Grammy award. That’s a big deal, I guess. Like winnin’ first prize at the county fair. But I bet he didn’t win no blue ribbon for his apple pie. That’s my specialty, you know.
Anyway, if you’re into this “rap” music, you might wanna check out Kendrick’s new album, “GNX”. Folks seem to like it, so it can’t be all bad. But if you ask me, I’d rather listen to the crickets chirpin’ on a summer night. Now that’s real music, that is. But hey, like I always say, different strokes for different folks. You like your rap, and I’ll stick to my hymns and the sound of the rain on the tin roof. Kendrick Lamar is a name I keep hearing these days because of the new album and the Drake feud thing. He’s quite a character, sounds like.
They even played a bit of it on the radio the other day. Couldn’t make out half the words, sounded like a bunch of mumbling to me. But the beat, well, it was kinda catchy, I gotta admit. Got my foot tappin’ a little bit. Don’t tell nobody I said that, though. Wouldn’t want folks thinkin’ I’ve gone soft on this rap music. And when is the next one coming out? I guess folks are already asking about that.
So, there you have it. Kendrick Lamar, “GNX,” and a whole lotta fuss. Whether you like it or not, that’s up to you. But it’s hard to deny that this fella’s made a name for himself.
