Okay, here is my sharing about making a cardholder with a keychain:

So I started this little project because I was tired of always fishing for my cards in my bag. I figured a cardholder with a keychain would be super handy, you know? Keep everything in one place.
I looked around online, even checked out eBay, but nothing really caught my eye. Everything was either too bulky or just plain boring. Plus, some of them were pretty expensive for what they were. So I thought, why not make one myself? I mean how hard could it be, right?
First, I gathered some materials. I found this old leather piece from a previous project. It was full-grain, which is pretty tough and looks good, so I decided to use that. Then I needed a key ring. I just took one off an old keychain I wasn’t using anymore.
Next, I started cutting the leather. This was a bit tricky because I wanted it to be just the right size to hold a few cards snugly. I messed up a couple of times, but finally, I got it right. It was kind of like a small pouch, just big enough for my ID, credit card, and a bit of cash.
- Cut the leather into a rectangle.
- Fold it in half and mark the spots for stitching.
- Sew the sides, leaving the top open.
- Make a small hole at the top for the key ring.
- Attach the key ring, and that’s it!
I stitched the sides by hand, which took a while, but it was kind of relaxing, I thought. After sewing, I punched a hole at the top and attached the key ring. It was a bit of a struggle to get it through, but I managed.

And there it was! My very own handmade cardholder with a keychain. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine, and I was pretty proud of it. Now, I use it every day. It’s so convenient to have my keys and cards together. I don’t have to dig through my bag anymore. Plus, it’s unique, just the way I wanted it.
Honestly, the whole thing was way more fun than I expected. It’s not just about the cardholder; it’s about making something with my own hands. And hey, if I can do it, anyone can. Trust me, it’s worth the effort. You get something useful and learn a new skill along the way. Win-win, right?
