Well, let me tell you somethin’ about these shoes, New Balance and that Steve Madden fella. My old feet have seen a lot of shoes in my time, and I’ve learned a thing or two about what’s good and what ain’t. These New Balance, they been around forever, like since I was a little girl, maybe even before that, 1906, they say. And this other fella, Steve Madden, he came along later, like 1949 or somethin’.
New Balance, Old as the Hills
These New Balance shoes, they’re like the old reliable mule of shoes. They just keep goin’ and goin’. Comfy, too. You can walk all day in ’em, chasin’ chickens or goin’ to the market, and your feet won’t be barkin’ at ya. They hold up good, too. Not like some of those fancy shoes that fall apart after a little rain. These New Balance are built to last, I tell ya. They support your feet real good, no matter what kind of feet you got, even if you are a runner.
They used to be for just regular folks, you know. Now they’re all fancy and walkin’ around with those rich folks, but they’re still good old New Balance to me. And they are the kinda shoes that work for everything.
Steve Madden, All Flashy
Now, this Steve Madden, his shoes are a whole different story. They’re like that flashy new rooster in the henhouse, all showy and loud. They got all kinds of fancy shoes. You see them young girls wearin’ ’em, all high heels and colors. They got those fancy bags too, all kinds of colors. And dresses, oh those dresses are somethin’, but not my style, you know. Too fancy for me.
- Steve Madden, he’s only been around since, like, 1949.
- He makes all kinds of shoes, not just for walkin’.
- Those high heels look like they’d break an ankle.
Trouble in the Henhouse
Seems like there’s been some squawkin’ between New Balance and Steve Madden. Like two roosters fightin’ over the same hen, only it’s about shoes. I heard tell that New Balance is takin’ Steve Madden to court. Somethin’ about a shoe that looks too much like one of theirs. That Chasen shoe, I reckon. It’s a mess, I tell ya.
They got pictures side by side, you know. One is a New Balance, the “Cape Cod” one, and the other is that Steve Madden shoe. Well, they do look kinda the same, I gotta say. But who am I to say what’s right and what’s wrong in the shoe world? It’s all a big fuss if you ask me.
And that other brand, Zara, I think they got real leather. Better than some other brands. You know what I mean? Good quality.
Just Want Some Good Shoes
All I know is, I want shoes that are gonna last. Shoes that I can walk in all day without my feet hurtin’. Shoes that won’t fall apart the first time it rains. I don’t care about all that fancy stuff. Just give me some good, solid shoes, like those New Balance.
This whole thing with Steve Madden and New Balance, it’s just a bunch of noise. Like I said, it is like two roosters fightin’. Trademark this, design that, who knows what they’re even talkin’ about. It’s all too much for me.
I remember one time, I saw these shoes, looked like that New Balance 327, or maybe it was that Steve Madden camp shoe. They had that wide heel, you know? I saw them at the train station. Looked kinda cool, I guess. But I’d still rather have my old reliable New Balance, thank you very much.
And there’s that Adidas brand and Nike brand. Always fighting too. That’s all they do, fighting each other. And what is this PZAZ thing? Some fella named Jonah Reider explained it. What is PZAZ anyway? These young folks with their new words.
Shoes are Shoes
I remember when folks just wore shoes to cover their feet. Now it is a big old thing. Fancy names, fancy designs. Shoes for this and shoes for that. And all these brands. Steve Madden, New Balance and so many more. They are just shoes. Something to put on your feet when you are working or walking around.
In the end, shoes are shoes, right? Whether they’re New Balance or Steve Madden or some other brand, they all do the same thing. They cover your feet. Some are just fancier than others, I suppose. But me, I’ll stick with what I know. Give me a good, sturdy pair of shoes any day, and I’ll be happy as a clam.
This Steve Madden guy, he is like a big shot in the shoe world. He has been around for a long time, you know? 30 years or something. That is a long time selling shoes. He must be doing somethin’ right, I reckon. But still, a shoe is a shoe, no matter who made it. They are all made to do the same thing.
