Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this old Swatch watch I found. It’s straight out of the ’80s, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip.

First off, I started digging around to see what this thing was even worth. I saw some crazy stuff online – apparently, these things can be worth a pretty penny! There’s this one called the “Kiki Picasso” that I guess is super rare. They only made, like, 140 of them back in the day. I saw that one of these sold for a whopping 45,000 bucks back in ’89! Mine’s not that one, sadly, but still, it got me thinking.
I got my hands on this watch and the first thing I did was give it a good once-over. It’s got that classic ’80s vibe – all colorful and bold. I popped in a new battery, and guess what? It started ticking! I couldn’t believe it. This thing’s been sitting around for who knows how long, and it still works. It is said online that they were all the rage back then, and they kinda put Swiss watches back on the map. It brought me back to the time when I was just a boy.
I wore it around for a few days, just to see how it felt. Honestly, it’s pretty comfy. And it’s a real conversation starter. People keep asking me about it. The best retro ones from the 80s and 90s are for sure making a comeback. I can see why these watches are a must-have for any vintage lover.
Now, I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with it. Part of me wants to keep it, just because it’s such a cool piece of history. But then again, I could probably sell it and make a few bucks.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure with this ’80s Swatch. It’s been a fun ride, and it’s definitely got me thinking more about these vintage watches. Maybe I’ll start collecting them. Who knows?
