Well, now, let me tell you somethin’ about this 2015 style. It ain’t like the old days, no sir. Back then, we wore what we had, and that was that. But these young’uns today, they got all sorts of fancy clothes. This 2015 stuff, it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. I’ve seen some things that are quite fashion trend.
You see them girls walkin’ down the street, wearin’ them skinny jeans so tight, I don’t know how they breathe! And the colors! All bright and pastel-like, like a bunch of Easter eggs. Back in my day, we had blue jeans, and that was it. Blue or maybe black if you were feelin’ fancy. And they call them “acid wash.” What’s that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ you’d clean the barn with.
And don’t even get me started on them shirts. Geometric prints, they call ’em. Looks like a bunch of triangles and squares got into a fight. Or they got pictures of the whole darn galaxy on ’em. When I was young, we had stripes, maybe some flowers if it was a special occasion. Simpler times, simpler times.
And these dresses, oh lordy! They wear ’em with pants! “Trouser-dresses,” they call it. Back in my day, a dress was a dress, and pants were pants. You wore one or the other, not both at the same time! It’s like they can’t make up their minds.
Then there’s these romper suits. Now, I remember rompers from when my kids were little. But these are for grown women! They look like they’re goin’ out to play in the sandbox. And metallic dresses. It’s like they are going to a party in space. Shiny enough to blind ya, that’s for sure. It makes a statement, that’s for sure.
And the shoes! Don’t even get me started on the shoes. Platforms so high, I don’t know how they don’t fall over and break a hip. And they’re all different colors, too. Pink, green, blue. Back in my day, you had your brown shoes and your black shoes. That was it.

Oh, and these young’uns and their nails! Back in my day, you painted your nails red, maybe pink if you were feelin’ wild. Now? They got all sorts of things on ’em. Pictures, designs, even little jewels! I saw one girl with nails that looked like a comic book. Can you believe it? A comic book on her fingers! They call it pop art nails. What will they think of next?
They like those Y2K vibes. Whatever that means. But I do see those short skirts and capri pants. Reminds me of some things I used to see a long time ago. Everything old is new again, I suppose. And the way they talk! All these fancy words for things. “Styling,” they say. “Retro vibe.” Back in my day, you just put on your clothes and went about your business.
If you want to dress up like that, you can wear a dress or a suit with a T-shirt. They wear those leather jackets. Always been around, those have. And silk scarfs. But now they got those rock and roll pictures on them. And they put metal on their clothes. Studs and chains. Like they’re going to a construction site, not a dance.
It’s all a bit much for me, if I’m bein’ honest. But I guess that’s the way of the world now. Everything’s changin’, faster than a greased piglet at the county fair. I reckon there’s no stoppin’ it. These young’uns and their 2015 style. They’re gonna wear what they want, no matter what us old folks say.
I remember back in 2015, it was like a rainbow threw up everywhere. Bright colors, crazy patterns, you name it. It was a sight to see, I tell ya. That year everyone is wearing those bright colors, like a whole field of wildflowers.

- Denim overalls were everywere. Just like when I was young!
- And corduroy. That was a surprise.
- Seventies stuff was big, too. Bell bottoms and all that.
I guess what they say is true. What goes around, comes around. Even for clothes. Just like fashion, 2015 was a year I won’t forget. Though I might not understand all of it, that 2015 style is surely a blast, even for an old-timer like me. Just tryin’ to keep up with these young’uns, that’s all.
