Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this David Yurman ruby necklace for a while now. You know, the one with the cable design? It’s just so classic, yet somehow still feels modern. Anyway, I finally decided to go for it.

First, I started by doing some online window shopping. I checked out a bunch of different websites, you know, like the usual suspects – Bloomingdale’s, Saks, even some online marketplaces like Catawiki. Just wanted to get a feel for the different styles available and, of course, the prices. Amazon had some good deals too, but I was a bit hesitant about buying jewelry from them.
After browsing for what felt like forever, I narrowed it down to a few options. There were so many pretty necklaces! But none of them had rubies. I found a few on The RealReal, which is apparently good for secondhand luxury stuff. They had some decent prices, but I really wanted something brand new.
Then I remembered ShopStyle. I went over there, and bam! They had a whole section dedicated to David Yurman necklaces, many of them with ruby in them. I started setting sale alerts, because who doesn’t love a good deal?
While I was waiting for a sale, I did a bit more research on David Yurman as a brand. Turns out, they’re considered pretty high-end, which I guess I already knew, but it was cool to see they’re up there with Cartier and Tiffany. They’re known for their quality and craftsmanship. Also, apparently, they’ve sold a ton of their cable design pieces. No wonder they’re so popular!
Finally, I got the email! One of the necklaces I had my eye on went on sale. It wasn’t a huge discount, but enough to make me pull the trigger. I added it to my cart, checked out, and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m so excited!

I’ll definitely post some pictures when I get it. I’m already thinking about what outfits I’m going to wear it with. Maybe a simple black dress to really let the ruby pop? We’ll see! It’s a statement piece for sure, and it’s a very well-known designer. I feel like it’ll be something I can wear for years and maybe even pass down someday.
Anyway, that’s my David Yurman ruby necklace story. Hope you enjoyed my little shopping journey!
