Okay, here’s my take on the Sol de Janeiro 39 experience, shared in a casual, personal blog style:

So, I finally got my hands on the Sol de Janeiro 39. You know, the brand that blew up because of that “Brazilian Bum Bum Cream”? Yeah, that one. I’d heard so much about their body mists. I mean, they’re supposed to smell amazing and they are not expensive. I’d sniffed a few of them before and thought they were pretty good, so I was kinda hyped to try this one out.
First off, I gotta say, not all of their scents are winners. But I was feeling this one because the notes sounded right up my alley. I saw them printed on the bottle: coconut cream on top, warm vanilla and tropical orchid in the middle, and creamy sandalwood at the bottom. Sounds delicious, right?
I went ahead and ordered it online. There were many other reviews about this stuff. Some people said that it smells really good, while others said it is too sweet. But, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try. So, I added it to my cart and checked out.
When it arrived, I was super excited and ripped open the package. I sprayed it a couple of times on my wrist. I waited for a minute to let it settle.
- The initial spray: The coconut cream hit me first. It was strong, but not in a bad way. It is sweet, so if you do not like sweet scents you might want to skip this one.
- After a while: Then came the warm vanilla and a hint of that orchid. It all blended together pretty well. It’s like a tropical dessert, but you know, in a good way.
- The dry-down: Finally, that creamy sandalwood showed up. I have to say, this one’s not a beast or anything. It is good for a casual day out.
My Thoughts
Overall, I’d say Sol de Janeiro 39 is a solid pick if you’re into sweet, tropical vibes. The smell is unique and it is affordable. I think I will try out their other scents as well!
