Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new men’s handbag lately. You know, something practical but also kind of stylish. I’m not really into the whole “man purse” vibe, but I needed something to carry my stuff around in that wasn’t a bulky backpack.

First, I started by just looking around online, seeing what was out there. Lots of different styles, from messenger bags to those little crossbody things. I checked out some designer names I recognized, like Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta, just to get an idea of what the high-end stuff looked like. Honestly, some of it was pretty cool, but way out of my price range.
Then I started thinking about what I actually needed. I mostly carry my phone, wallet, keys, maybe a book or a tablet, and sometimes a water bottle. So, I didn’t need anything huge. I also wanted something that would work for different situations, like going to work, running errands, or even going out for a casual dinner.
I started narrowing it down to messenger bags or maybe a tote. I looked at tons of pictures and read a bunch of reviews. I saw some guys, like some celebrities, carrying all sorts of bags, and it gave me some ideas. Like, Shia LaBeouf, his bag style is pretty cool. I figured a bag is not just for carrying your stuff, it can also show some personal style.
My Choices
- Messenger Bag: This seemed like the most practical option. It’s got enough space for my stuff, and it’s easy to carry around. Plus, it looks pretty professional, so I could take it to work.
- Tote Bag: This was a bit more casual, but it still looked pretty good. I liked that it was a bit more open and easier to access my stuff. I could see myself using this for everyday stuff.
After a lot of back and forth, I finally decided on a simple, black leather messenger bag. It wasn’t too expensive, but it looked nice and seemed like it would last a while. It also had a few different compartments, which was good for keeping things organized. Also, I considered the Spring 2023 fashion trend, I think black is a good choice.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. It’s the perfect size for my stuff, and it’s comfortable to carry around. I don’t feel like I’m carrying a “man purse,” but I also don’t feel like a student with a backpack. It’s just a good, solid bag that does what I need it to do.

I learned that picking the right bag is like picking any other accessory, it depends on one’s needs and style. Don’t be afraid to try some “designer” things, you might find them inspiring. So, I suggest everyone to spend some time and find your perfect bag!
