Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole Met Gala shoe thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. Started off just browsing through pics from past Met Galas, you know, just to get a feel for what people usually wear. I was looking at some of those outfits, and the shoes were wild.

Then I got it in my head that I needed to see what everyone’s been talking about this year. I spent, like, a whole afternoon just scrolling through articles and social media posts about this year’s event. I started to notice a few trends and some things like pearls and flowers. Those outfits are something else, let me tell you. I was jotting down notes the whole time, trying to keep track of who wore what, which designers were popular, all that jazz.
Making Sense of It All
After gathering all this info, I started sorting it out. I made a list, you know. I wrote down some of them like Sydney and others’. I noticed a lot of celebrities were wearing some fancy high heels, some were rocking more practical shoes, and a few just went totally out there with some crazy designs.
I even tried sketching out some of the shoe designs I saw, just for fun. My drawings are terrible, but it helped me remember the details.
- High heels: Lots of them. Some were super sparkly, others were more plain but still elegant.
- Flats: Not as many, but a few people chose comfort over style, which I respect.
- Boots: A few people wore boots, which was interesting. Some were knee-high, others were ankle boots.
- Crazy stuff: There were some shoes that I don’t even know how to describe. Like, Lady Gaga-level weird, you know?
The next day, I went back and started matching the shoes to the outfits. That was a whole other project. Some outfits, the shoes were the star of the show. Others, the shoes were more like supporting actors, you know, just kind of blending in.
I gotta say, it was a lot of work, but it was also pretty fun. I learned a ton about shoes, fashion, and the whole Met Gala scene. It’s like this whole other world that I didn’t even know existed.

This whole deep dive into Met Gala shoes was way more intense than I thought it would be. But hey, I got a cool project out of it, and I can definitely say I know way more about celebrity footwear now than I did before. And I think I’ve got a better eye for what makes a good shoe-outfit combo now, too. Still, it’s a lot to keep track of, and my notes are a mess, but it was worth it.
