Okay, so, I’ve been keeping an eye on these Air Jordan 11 “Bred” shoes for a while now. You know, the ones everyone’s been going crazy about. I finally decided to pull the trigger and try to snag a pair when they re-released.

First, I had to figure out when these bad boys were even dropping. Turns out, there was a bunch of different info floating around. Some folks were saying November 2024 for the “Bred Velvet” version, others were saying December 14th, 2019 for the classic “Bred” (or “Playoffs,” whatever you wanna call ’em). There were even whispers about a “Black Red Grey” colorway coming in December 2025 and a “Legend Blue” dropping in December 2024. It was a mess!
After digging around some more, I realized the classic “Bred” ones were the ones I really wanted, the ones that first came out way back in 1996. I marked December 14th, 2019 on my calendar, got myself hyped up. I was determined to get these.
The day finally came. I woke up early, ready to go. I had all the websites loaded up, refreshing like crazy. I heard these were gonna be Nike’s best-selling sneakers ever, so I knew the competition would be fierce.
- Tried to get them on the official Nike site – no luck.
- Checked out a few other online stores – same story, sold out instantly.
I was starting to lose hope. Then, I remembered a place called “Extra Butter” that was supposed to have them. I hustled over to their website, and by some miracle, they still had my size! I slammed that “buy” button so fast, my finger almost broke.
Man, the relief I felt when I got that confirmation email. I actually got them! The Air Jordan 11 “Bred,” in my size. It was a real battle, but I came out on top.

A few days later, they arrived. Box was pristine, shoes were even more beautiful in person. These weren’t just any sneakers, these were a piece of history, you know? Designed by Tinker Hatfield, worn by Michael Jordan himself, I mean, come on!
This whole experience taught me a few things. One, you gotta do your research when it comes to these limited releases. Two, you gotta be quick and persistent. And three, sometimes, you just get lucky.
