Okay, so I’ve been wanting to switch up my hairstyle for a while now. I’ve had the same look for ages, and I’m just bored with it. I was scrolling through some pictures online, and I got really inspired by all these medium braids hairstyles. They look so cool and versatile, and I figured, why not give it a shot?
First things first, I had to decide what kind of braids I wanted. There are just so many options!
- Box braids
- French curls
- cornrows
- faux locs
- twists

, and

– the list goes on! I spent a good chunk of time just browsing pictures and videos, trying to narrow it down. I finally settled on some medium box braids with some curly ends. I saw a picture with these tightly curled ends, and I loved how they looked like it has that island vibe.
Next up, I had to find someone who could actually do it. I don’t trust myself with this kind of thing. I asked around, and a friend of mine recommended a stylist who specializes in braids. I checked out her work online, and I was really impressed, so I booked an appointment.
The day of the appointment, I was super excited but also a little nervous. I showed the stylist the picture I liked, and we chatted about what I wanted. She was really helpful and gave me some good advice about how to take care of the braids and what to expect. Then, she got to work.
Let me tell you, it took a while. We were there for a few hours, but it was worth it. She sectioned off my hair and started braiding, adding in extensions for length and those luscious curls at the ends. I watched some shows on my phone and just tried to relax while she worked her magic.
When she was finally done, I was amazed! The braids looked even better than I had imagined. They were neat, and the curls at the ends were just perfect. I felt like a whole new person. I tried to style them in a bun, and a few curls just falling down, so cute! I also tried to brighten up my styling with some neon colors like neon green, neon yellow, and neon orange, just like the latest trend. They turned out amazing, I can tell you.
I’ve had the braids in for a couple of weeks now, and I’m still loving them. They’re so easy to manage, and I can style them in so many different ways. I’ve been experimenting with different looks, like putting them up in a ponytail, or letting them hang loose. Some people even mentioned that I can rock those amazing braided hairstyles with my medium-length hair!
Honestly, getting these braids was one of the best decisions I’ve made recently. It’s such a fun and stylish way to change up my look, and I feel so much more confident. If you’re thinking about getting braids, I say go for it! Just make sure you do your research, find a good stylist, and be prepared to sit for a while. Trust me, it’s totally worth it!
